• I sat down in an empty chair in a corner of the room. The music was so loud i could feel it in my chest.
"Here, drink this." Melanie said holding out what suspiciously looked like beer. "Just take it." She said rolling her eyes "Nobody spiked it so quit looking at it like its toxic." I trie to smile but i guess it wasnt all that convincing. "I know i know we over did it." She really did look sorry so i took the drink.
This was supposed to be my seventeenth birthday party. I invited my two best friends Melanie and Amy over from California to help me with it. I just moved to Denver Colorado a few months ago so i dont know anyone, but those two happened to envite everyone between the ages or 16 and 19 to this party.
"Wheres Amy?" I asked Melanie. "Right here" Amy answered walking up from a group of boys opening a kage. "And what the hell is that doing here?" I squeaked out. "oh yea.....um.....it just kinda showed up" Amy said, her face getting red. "Dont worry about it. Me and Amy will deal with it. Pluse, its almost cake time!" Melanie said. She was practically glowing. While we were planning the party she called dibs on cake duty right away. She insisted on making it herself instead of ordering one. When she was finished she wouldnt let neither me or Amy see it.
"Oh yea. How was that supposed to go again?" I asked. "Oh my gosh! We've been over this a billion times!" Amy yelled. "Yea i know, Im so-" I paused. "Was that the doorbell?" We all quieted, trying to hear over the music and people. The low chime of the doorbell faintly echoed, partly mixed with the pop hiphop beat of the music.
"You better hurry and get that." Melanie said pulling me to my feet. "Why me?" I winned. "Because this is your party." She replied, pushing me through the crowed towards the door. I looked back at her trying to pull me best puppydog look. "Your pittiful." She said smiling, but passed me to reach the door.
    "Is this the Birthday party?"
My mouth dropped when i saw the person standing at the door. Amy jabbed me in my side. "Yes this is." I said, blushing when he looke ddirectly at me.
