• It was empty, grassland. It seemed to be planet Earth because the air was breathable. But that didn’t tell me much. The sun was high in the cloudless sky so it must have been around noon.

The Doctor kept on walking so I followed closely behind.
“Ah, Stonehenge!” he said. Sure enough, beyond us was Stonehenge. That place had always made me think. Nobody knew that much about the place.
“So, we must be in England yeah?” I asked.
“Yes, but the question is when?”
Right after he asked that, we saw a group of people were coming from the opposite direction of us, on the other side of Stonehenge. They looked like a group of natives or something.
“Does that answer your question?” I asked.
    “Not quite…come on.”

We ran towards Stonehenge, with each step I got even more excited. I was going to Stonehenge! That was one of the places I had wanted to go to for a long time. And now, I was there.

We hid behind one of the rocks. Stonehenge looked so much newer than all the pictures I had seen. With that fact, and with the native people, we must have been in ancient times! Exciting!

“Why are we hiding?” I asked.
“Well think Ms. Technical. We are a couple of people from the future. Do you honestly think that they’d welcome us?”
“You do have a point there,” I told him.
“I always do,” he said smiling, “I’m the Doctor.”
I rolled my eyes, “Show off.” I thought.

As the natives walked closer and closer, I grew more excited. I would probably actually find out how and when Stonehenge was really made! Nobody back home really knew much about this place of mystery.

“Come out!” yelled one of the natives. He looked like he was some sort of leader of the tribe.
“Shouldn’t they be speaking their language?” I whispered, “They wouldn’t know English would they?”
“That’s another thing the Tardis does,” he answered, “They are actually speaking their language, it’s just we hear it as English.”
“Awesome!” I exclaimed keeping my voice down so the natives wouldn’t hear.

“Come out and show your self!” the leader yelled. The group of natives was mostly men, with barely any women and children. Most of the men were skin and bone, like they hadn’t had a decent meal in weeks!

“Stay behind the rock.” The Doctor told me.
“Wait, what are you doing?” But he had already stood up and went in front of the natives.
“I am here,” he told the leader.
“Is he crazy!?” I thought. He’s the one who told me that showing ourselves wouldn’t be a good idea!

The leader ran to him and pushed him down to the ground, “How could you abandon us like that?!” the native leader exclaimed, “My people are starving and you just left! Why?”
“You promised.” He said to the Doctor.
The Doctor stood up without a scratch from being thrown down.
“Wait,” said an old lady that came from the crowd, “This man is not who you think he is.”
“Who do you think I am?” asked the Doctor.
“Are you not the wizard Merlin?” the leader asked.
Suddenly there was a cracking sound coming from the opposite end of the circle of stones. An old man appeared.
“I am who you speak of,” said the mans deep voice. By now, I was REALLY excited. It’s Merlin! I had heard so many stories about him and the Knights of the Round Table and I was nearly obsessed.
“Why’d you leave us!?” the leader asked him angrily.
“I had other business to attend to,” Merlin simply answered.
“You thought that you could just leave us to die? You promised us that you would help us!”
“A wizard has other things to do except take care of a dying tribe that isn’t even mine!” Merlin answered.
The Doctor gave him a nasty look, “You still gave them a promise. Why leave them? Especially if they are dying.”
Merlin walked closer to the Doctor and the leader, “Alright Doctor of Gallifrey,” he began.
“How do you know who I am?” he interrupted.
    “I know things.”
“Well, I know things to, and I don’t think you are who you say you are either.” There was a moment of silence. The Doctor never left his gaze off Merlin. I saw anger in his eyes. I looked into Merlins eyes as well, and they didn’t seem so wise looking as I thought they would look.
“I must go,” Merlin said breaking the silence, “I have some business to attend to.” He was gone in a puff of smoke.

“You are a doctor?” the leader asked, “Can you help us?”
“What’s your name?” he asked the leader.
    “Taurus,” he answered.
“Well Taurus, I will stay and see what I can do. I have a friend traveling alongside me. Is it okay if she comes as well?”
“It would be an honor.” Taurus answered.
