• Chapter Seven: HOLD ON

    Eichi looked down at me and grinned.

    "Syke! No danger!"

    I slapped Eichi on the cheek, his head completely going along with it.

    "Y... You ignorant, overrated, obno-" Eichi pressed his index finger on my lips. His smile had completely vanished. His eyes started turning a soft red.

    "Eichi, please. I... I can't be bitten right now. I'm going to run some errands."

    Eichi smiled and obediantly nodded, allowing me outside. He gave me a faint goodbye kiss on the lips and then I was left alone, outside, with no Eichi to encourage me to walk to my destination. Although Eichi had closed the door, I heard him and Takuto conversing about me inside. I hesitantly made my way to the gas station.

    I was a few blocks away from the gas station. I started walking down an alley, which was a bad idea only because it was going to be a full moon tonight and I'd be mauled if I didn't get out before it was too late.

    * * *

    A man made his way towards me in the alley. He was inches away from me. His eyes were glowing crimson, and his smirk gave away his white fangs. He took a large wiff of me and his eyes grew darker, along with the sky. He grabbed my bicep and started walking fowards, pushing me with him. He pushed me up against the wall, where the most shade was. I knew what he was about to do. I instantly broke out in tears.

    "Eichi-i-i-i-i!!!" I wailed. Why couldn't I drag Eichi along with me?

    The Vampire beared his fangs at me and lowered his mouth to my neck. "Just one taste and I'll be gone," he whispered. He injected his fangs deep into my neck. I winced and the tears stopped. My blood was flowing down a Vampire's throat and I couldn't care less. For half a second, I wished the Vampire would suck me dry. But then I got a major adrenaline rush. I was throwing punches at the Vampire and kicking him as well. I tried ripping hair out of his head and it worked, but it didn't seem to faze him. I finally gave up, letting him drink as much as he wished.

    But black spots were clouding my eyes again. My life was flashing before my eyes. I wanted to be sucked back into reality; where no Vampires or Werewolves existed. I just wanted to wake up... and all this would be a nightmare.

    The Vampire ejected his fangs and "accidentally" smeared blood on my cheek and neck, causing me to gag. He left without wiping off my smeared blood. "Eichi," I whispered, "I'm so lost. So hopeless... I was nearly sucked dry by a Vampire. P... Please help me, Eichi. I'm bleeding to death and I... I... I-" I couldn't finish my sentence. I had blacked out with no idea what to do when I wake up.

    * * *

    Eichi was carressing my back and the back of my neck. His eyes were glued to my blood-stained face. "Ayu," he muttered, "you can't ever let that happen again." More tears flowed freely down my cheeks. I uttered a squeak of defeat as Eichi rested his lips on my forehead. I could feel his lips curl into a smile.

    "Ayu... you need to eat. You haven't eaten for days," Once he said that, I was out of his arms and halfway downstairs. Eichi was gliding behind me. We entered the kitchen and found Wakoji, Hanajima, and Takuto peacefully, and silently, eating lunch. I quickly prepared myself miso soup and a couple onigiris. Eichi served himself tuna sushi.

    Eichi had made himself a few pieces of tuna sushi, and I watched him in awe beautifully scarf down the sushi. I hesitantly drank my miso soup and nibbled on my onigiris. Takuto was staring at me, probably making a mental note on how awkward I ate food. I chuckled at my thought. Eichi dragged me back into his bedroom, gracefully shutting the door with his foot behind him. Eichi sat down, but I stood up. He made me tell him why I was all bloody. I told him.

    Eichi gaped at me. "Ayu," his voice cracked, "that Vampire... he may have turned you into a Vampire. If the wound turned purple, then he has infected you." I looked down at my neck, and the wound he had given me was glowing purple.

    "Eichi, I... I'm not going to become a Vampire, am I?" Eichi looked as if he was unsure.

    "Eichi... I'm scared. I wanna stay human!"

    Although I kind of wanted to become a Vampire.
