• Red Eye Devil (part 2)
    by Daniel Cortes

All i saw was darkness that reminded me of pea soup, it was getting late and i was going to grab dinner with my family till i was caught into a daze with the sudden appearance of the moon. Its heavenly light made me feel like dancing like a fool as it watches like a princess to a simple fool. A tall man hastily walked by me bringing me back to this plane of reality. He wore deep black that was like the night and wore shades. . . .Why would he have needed those shades in the first place? What made it weirder was that he was walking towards the path to my family's house, so I easily think to myself that if I hide behind all the trees and bushes that maybe I can see what he wanted with my family.

As soon as we got near my house I kneeled down on some fresh mud and took out a pair of scopes to watch what he was doing. My grandfather was on porch on his rocking chair with his shotgun on his lap. Both the man and granddad were talking for a while yet granddad kept his grip on the shotgun like he was scared. I felt shivers down my spine and it felt if as they were dancing around my body making it all cold. Then suddenly my grandfather started to yell and stand with the shotgun ready to kill this man, but the man overpowered him and. . . . .Blew in a new hole in my grandfather's head. I was in shock and kept shivering at the fact that i saw my grandfather's brain matter all over the very walls that he built.

I was able to move closer to see my dad running upstairs to get his gun and my mother rushing towards the basement with my brothers and sisters, however my youngest brother hid under the table because he was too slow to join my mother. The man walked and sat down on a chair staring at the dinner on the table. "Dinner looks great" he commented as he put the barrel on the table and shot a bullet into the skull of my brother. A muttered scream came the floor boards as the man took up a grenade launcher and fire the whole round into the floor. Tears ran down my face knowing my mother didn't have the chance to run away from that fiery death. The man started to laugh devilishly as he licked the barrel of his handgun.

"You monster!!!" my father said while shooting at the man, but it didn't do anything to this man. My father threw shotgun away as he tries to fist fight back but only to be over powered by this monster like man. "Why my family! WHY!" my father cried out, As the man broke both of his arms, my father's blood oozed out and gushed around the floor. "No real reason sir, I just needed some fun." after that, my father lost his head after being blown in by his own beloved shotgun. I watched in shock by the window, my front row chair at the genocide of my family . . . . The rubies are everywhere. . . .Now turning to deep brown amber. The man picks up my little brother's head and starts to eat it. . .what kind of man is he!

Madness slowly enters my body as I watch this man feeding upon my dead family, their organs hanging like chicken hanged to dry. My body filled with fear but i found myself walking towards the forsaken portal to the ruin of my childhood home. As I walked on top of my grandfather, I felt no difference about. . . .As if I was statue able to think and walk. This unknown force kept me moving towards the room where the man has been enjoying the dinner that wasn't made from my mother but was her. I slowly open the door with sweaty palms hoping that i could take in the horror behind this oak doors, the air was thick with the smell blood and death.

And i saw it, their bodies all hung up like a hunter's meat being dried ready to cook. I began to shiver over this scene, my mind slowly entering madness at the sight of my little brother's and sister's eyes open. . .Staring down inside my soul, hating me for the fact that i was still alive. The worst part of it all was that their bodies been sewed back together like rag dolls. . .The man sitting on my father's chair playing with his handgun and cleaning his teeth with a butter knife. "You know why i love the taste of virgins? Cause they haven't had the chance to sin themselves with such eye sores" he chuckled about it as if it were a party to him! "Y-You think t-this is a god damn g-g-game!" my voice so weak and low that he heard it and said "if I said yes would you be surprised?" With that remark i rushed him with my fists only to feel the pain of the floor against my back, the pain yelling at me for what I have done. Slowly watching the man walk up to me and the last thing I saw were his crimson eyes. . . .they will forever hunt me down like a beast even past the door of death and i drew my last breath. . . .All that was left was darkness and I was dea
