• 1. The running away from troubles

Run faster! Run faster! Run faster! Come on! the girl mumbled over and over again as she ran through a forest. “YOU CAN’T RUN FROM US CREATURE!” the things yelled far behind her. “ON THE CONTREAY IT SEEMS THAT I CAN!” she hollered back.
The girl laughed as if she hadn’t laughed for a long time. She scanned the forest for any sign of danger. But all that she found were trees and grass. The girl didn’t look human, she had horns of the devil, red hair with blue streaks, blue tinted skin, one red eye and one blue eye, and enhance every thing, strength, hearing, sight, smell, and flexibility or so it seemed.
The girl looked up and saw a bat family looking for there dinner. So she called to the littlest bat in a different language then earlier, “Necka dapoo neneo,”. The littlest bat then flew to her hand. “How’s the hunt going?” she asked the little bat.
The little bat squeaked and flew back up into the sky. “Goodnight to you to!” She called after the bat with a smile in her face.
As she settled onto a little patch of green grass she took out a scroll. It said, “Shedu ake puk`a askrka!” in the strange language which surprised the girl. The girl mumbled. ’Transport to Dragon Rider!’ she got all excited like finally found what she was searching for. So she said the hope filled words. As she said those words she was lifted off the moss covered ground and was hurled through the air to god knows where and probably never coming back……

2.To see or Not to see
I woke up with sand in my eyes. All I could think about was the strange girl running from something and her saying those strange words. It was having an effect on me. That was a weird feeling but passed quickly. I got up and put on my oiled linen clothes like most of the villagers here in Altherldale. I went to the water basin and dunked my head in. I tousled my hair and ran out to meet my brother. I stumbled over a bundle of books by my door, forgetting about how I set them there because I was too tired from work to put them away last night. So I stacked them back up and set them on my bed. This time I walked to I wouldn’t trip again over anything else. I finally made it to the kitchen and there he sat. My brother Calderon with his back to me. I snuck up to him and jumped up and said “Boo!” he jumped four feet into the air. “Dexter,” he said while I laughed. Too bad he’s so serious all the time. He grabbed the back of my shirt and lifted me up with ease. It didn’t hurt we did this all the time, I’d scare him he would threaten me and then laugh to. It was hilarious if you knew us. This time though he through me over his shoulder and went outside. I squirmed while he laughed at my feeble attempts to escape his hold. Finally he put me down and said, “Dexter, its time you know about our father.” I stopped admittedly and he set me down. When he saw me again I had tears in my eyes. All I know was that our father had a banded our mother for reasons unknown to all of us except our mother.
“Calderon, what are you getting at?” I asked still tears threaten to spill, I quickly wiped them away. “Dexter, our father went looking for the worlds of magic. The angelic forest, the demons wastelands, and the dragons mountains. In order to enter these worlds you had to go through the three gates. He never got through the first one. The reason he did was so he could find us a better place to live. The angels don’t like humans in there forests they killed him quickly although the demons if he would have gotten through would have tortured him so be happy he died swiftly. He wanted you, not me, to follow in his foot steps. I don’t see why but then I didn’t know. The reason I wanted to get out of the house to tell you this is because I have something for you and its here in the trees. Ooh one more thing, I needed to tell you why he wanted you to. You have powers kid, that no one else in our family has. And now its time to put them to the test.” he pulled a sword, some paper, and called, “Time to come out!” he handed the sword to me and said yet again, “The paper is magic, write anything on them and it becomes real. The sword is magic as well, as long as the wielder is brave with out doubt the sword will strike true. Now with these tools you will pravel. Our father found them in one of his wonderings. He told our mother to hold on to them. When she died she passed them on to me for safe keeping.” he finally finished. I just stared and then the tears got the better of me. They spilled down my cheeks, blurring my eyesight. “Calderon……….” I stared then stopped because I didn’t know what to ask him right then. So I just got up and hugged him. Its been I don’t know how many years its been since I did this. Of course I have been embarrassed to since im nearly a man, in one year, but it felt good to hug my big brother for once. He picked me up with ease again. Like I was made of feathers other then flesh and bone. He held me like this for god knows how long. Then he set me down once again. My tears were dry by then too so we went back to the house. Once we were inside I finished my question. “Calderon, who were you telling at to come out know?” he hesitated like he really didn’t know why. That was odd of him he always knew what to say. “I don’t know why, I just felt a strange urge to call that out.” and he shrugged like nothing happened just a few minutes ago. I went back to my room and placed the bright yellow blade he handed to me under my mattress. I was unsure about that weapon the only kind of weapon I was used to was a bows and arrows. I placed the paper inside one of the books on top of that particular mattress. I grabbed my bow and a pack and my arrows my father crafted for me and set them on top of the mattress as well. I felt the need to have them there. I walked back out and on the table was two plates full of the deer I hunted down with Calderon yesterday. We ate in silence, I think he was letting me process what he had told me. After we were done eating, we went to town to bye supplies for the winter such as salt, sugar, flour, spices, and clothing. I could remember that our mother work for long hours not going to bed till midnight every night and wake in the early hours of the day. She made extra soap, blankets, and she tanned leather for us but we grow out of those quickly only the soap was left. We went to Nate’s tanning shop to buy more leather for clothing and grease (or lard depending on what he had to give us). Then we headed for Edmund’s spices, we passed pleasant commentary with Edmund while we got cinnamon, flour, sugar, and salt. After paying for those we headed for the blacksmith because we always went there to talk to Ernie, he is a fun guy to talk to. When we got there however we found him slumped over his anvil. I ran over to him only to find his fire poker stuck through his chest. I was facing all kinds of sadness today I just wanted to die. I stumbled backwards and wailed at the top of my lungs for help. Calderon ran over and pulled him back found out he was still breathing, shallowly though. His wife came running out and stumbled back to her kids ran to see if their father was alright. The doctor of Altherldale can running with a pair of calipers and thread and a needle. Doctor Hendercale ran saying out of his way. The kids ran back to their mother crying and hiding behind her skirt, they were only kids eight and nine year old boys. They didn’t know what was happening. The men of the town, including Calderon, carried the blacksmith to Doctor Hendercale’s house. I went to the wife and kids and walked them inside to try to calm them. Plus I didn’t want to be near the blood anymore then them. Once inside the kids started to wail in almost the same manner as I did only not as loud. “shh…..Aaron, Sam. Daddies going to be ok.” Though her voice fell to a whisper the children stopped and asked at the exact same time, “Really?”, “Yes my children he will. He’s just going to sleep for a long time but you will see him again.” her voice broke again and some how the children understood but stayed quiet and went up stairs to their rooms. “Stella, do you want me to help clean up?” my voice broke to as I indicated with my head outside. “I think that would be nice. Thanks for helping out Dexter I appreciate it. I know he was you and your brothers friend.” she said with a slight smile on her lips. We walked out with a bunch of rags and two big bowls of boiled water to clean up the blood and guts that was destroyed when the poker was thrusted into his body. By the time we were finished all the rags were bloody red and the water a muddy color from the blood in the water. We were sweating from the anger and hurt from whom ever did this and the death of the blacksmith. “Stella I’m going to go check on Ernie.” I whispered to her and stood up, grabbed the two bowls into the house and dumped them down the drain before she could object. I pulled her to her feet and called Aaron and Sam outside. “what are you doing?” Stella asked. “ I’m going to take you to me and my brothers house so you can mourn in peace.” I whispered to Stella before the children came down. “thank you!” she mouthed to me. “ come on Aaron, Sam we are going to Dexter’s house to stay a while.” Stella said to the kids so they didn’t ask. They walked up to my house. I went straight to the Doctors house, sprinting is a better term for what I was doing. I knocked on the door and then let my self in. to my grief they were lowering Ernie’s body into a wooden box as they did with my mother. “Calderon, his wife and children are at our house so they can mourn in silence with out all the hussle and bussle to bug them. We need to get back and tell them the bad news.” I said eyeing Ernie and winced, holding back tears. As we made our way up our familiar trail toward our cabin like house. Stella, Aaron, and Sam were waiting on the steps. I ran up to the house to get the door for the young lady. Calderon got a little sweaty though, I wonder why? I lead the kids to my room and led bedrolls out for them. Calderon lead Stella to the room who’s used to belong to our parents. We haven’t been back there since dad left. I picked up the book with the paper and the bow. I figured if I didn’t bring out the bright sword the kids wouldn’t know I had it. I walked back out while the kids got settled to check on Calderon. I walked down the hall to find Stella crying into Calderon’s chest. Stella was, after all, Calderon’s childhood friend. They were friends since before I was even born so yeah I understood this. I walked up and put my arms around both of them. I didn’t startle then in the slightest, in any way. “ Thank you very much you guys. I couldn’t ask for any better friends.” she whispered solemnly. I let go then and then Calderon did as well. A week has passed and the crops were ready for harvesting. Stella went home with her kids early while we were doing what needed to be done. We didn’t even see her sneak out. Although Calderon was sad to she her go, he said that he needed to teach me combat anyway and didn’t want to have to kids see me learn how. After we harvested the crops and sprinkled salt on the venison he grabbed tow sticks and through one at me saying, “Defend yourself!” I parried every plow he through at me but failed to hit him once. By noon we were sweating like a pig, which made us remember we need to get the leather ready for winter. It was dark by the time we finished all chores and three lessons. We both had bruises all over and cut on our arms from the chickens. We left the milk out side to cool before making cream to sell for clothing tomorrow. But before we could walk in side I tripped(again) over something in the darkness. “Owww!” I grumbled as I felt for whatever I tripped over this time. I found what it was but it felt to hot to be a rock but too big to be one of our lanterns we often laid around. I picked it up to bring it inside so I could see it better but I didn’t need light to see it. It glowed! I stared at it for a long time till Calderon hollered to get my lazy butt inside. I tucked it under my arm ran inside. I set the strange thing on the kitchen table and called Calderon to come and see it for himself to make sure I wasn’t imagining things again. “Aw calm down little bro-” but he stopped dead in his sentence when he saw the unusual stone thing. “Blow out the candles and look closely,” I ordered eyes still glued to the thing. He didn’t answer but the room went dark and I could hear his breathing next to my neck. “Wow,” he breathed noticing the glowing to. So I’m not imagining things. When I touch the top of it, it cracked like I broke it. I withdrew my hand quickly and leaned away from it. Calderon did the exact same thing as I did. The thing was the color black with gold spots spreaded randomly across it ,fading to gold then back to black everywhere. More and more cracks appeared across the surface. What emerged was so unexplained that all I have to say is wing….spikes….teeth……and scales and you know what I’m talking about. DRAGON! Its head emerged then a wing and a couple spikes and then the egg came all the way off and the dragon look at me and Calderon with curiosity in its eyes. The dragon had a black body and the under side, spikes, teeth, and claws were gold colored. Calderon reached over to pet it but it snapped at him, so I trying. When touched I felt a small connection where the reptilian creature knew I touched its egg before it hatched and then I felt this ping of pain. Just a tickle though. I winced a little but smiled when it made a purring sound like a cat. Then it spoke out loud to me, “ Dexter, I have been searching for you for a long time.” but the creature kept its mouth open. Well I thought it spoke, we turned around and then we saw the girl from my dream leaning against the door frame. Calderon fainted like he just had enough with fairy tales. “Oh! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to scare you guys!” she said with a smile playing at her lips. I fumbled around in my head look for a way to close my mouth. The dragon squeaked and then realized he was hungry. “Necka dake deapo.” the dragon sqeaked and curled up in a ball and look at me waiting. I stepped over Calderon’s unconscious body to the fire where our dinner was cooking. I took a fork and picked off a piece of smoked venison for the dragon. I was all movement while the creature girl kept to the door way. I went back to the dragon with a million questions in my head. When I was done feeding the dragon I turned back to the creature girl. “Wh-h-h-h-hooo are you?” I asked my voice shaky. This was all happening to fast, to fast. What next, what else could the gods throw at me?! I screamed in my head but kept the shocked expression on my face. “My name is Snowflake-Cathedra but just call me Snowflake.” she said holding out her hand towards me. I took her blue tinted hand and shook vaguely. “I supoose I should tell you what I am. Hmmmm how to start?” she mumbled to herself. “At the beginning is always best,” I said finding my voice again. “Yes that’s always best isn’t. Well……. I was adopted when I was little by a Demon family in the Demon’s Wastelands. I grow up in there ways of torture and love kills that sort of thing. I was excepted because all the others grow up with me. You see Demons usually have red tinted skin, all red hair, black horns, and two red eyes. As you can see I only have some of these quality’s so as I grow up I was rejected by all my friends after we learned about the Angels. The Angels have all blue hair, silver halos, two blue eyes, and blue tinted skin. But im not exactly them either. I went home one day with my step sister, who was full Demon as was also the only family I had ever know, and I expressed my feelings for that. Oh one more thing the demons controlled fire and the angels controlled ice,” she indicated to her hands as a bright blue glow came from one hand and a red one from the other, “Anyway, I said to my step mother, ’Mom, why do I have Angel quality’s?’ and she said, ’Honey, I…..I……your not my true daughter. You were adopted, your not full Demon, well that’s what the doctor said’ I was so hurt that I ran out the door, and then has far as I could run. My step sister, Annabell, called after me but I didn’t turn back. I made it to an edge of a cliff far to the west of my little town. I stayed there till my wings grow which took about two years. I hunted for the imps that surrounded that area. I drank from the dark waters to keep me from losing my magic till I did grow them. Once they grow I went for the Heavenly Gate. There I meet up with two Angel guardians preventing entry into the Angelic Forest, so I went back west to search for the lost Dragon’s Mountains to see if I could get some help. No luck, so I then went back east yet again and asked if I could pass. They stared at me shock and sorrow and most of all anger but I slipped past them quickly and swiftly all though they didn’t fallow me. I stowed away in a traveling caravan to one of the Angels forbidden cities. Once we got to Nacky’napo, the Angelic Forest capital, I hopped out and grabbed a scarf and tugged one of my blue strands of hair over my red eye. I was able to walk right past dozens of angels without but stayed behind because of this-” she twisted to show me her one demon wing, “wing. I didn’t want to be called out on. I went behind a abounded house and waited till dark to see the Queen. I then flew out the window I came in at and flew silently through the town up to the castle, well more of a green house but still. I went through one of the open windows and to my luck it was the Queens quarters. I landed on the floor right in the surprised face of the Queen. I said to her ’Shh I need your help.’ and she nodded. I took the scarf off and pulled the strained out of my face. I turned around to show her my wing and she gasped at the horns, hair, eye, and the wing but never shouted. ’I need help finding out who my parents are and I think a Dragon rider is my only hope. Could you help me locate one?’ I whispered. Again she nodded handing me a scroll and said, ’this should help although I don’t think dragon riders exist in our world anymore. Here this should give you a little more protection then just magic.’ and she handed me a double blade. ’ let me ask you something,’ I said, ‘ Queen Isabella, why did you not call the guards when you saw what I was?’ , ‘I don’t know, just tell me your name and I will let you go in peace.’ that was her only request of me so I told her. ‘ Snowflake-Cathedra, good bye my Queen’ I bowed real low because I felt respect towards her, like she was my own mother. I then jumped and glided over the streets in the darkness. I flew east till the trees got too dense to fly through so I landed out side the city gates. The guards there , of course caught me so I ran as far as I could go. They shouted but couldn’t catch me. I had enhanced speed because of what I am so it was easy to out run them. It was the first time I laughed in three years. I found a piece of green where I sat and read scroll and was hurled through the air for god knows how long and ended up here on you door step.” Snowflake concluded leaving me wondering about what did I get myself into for picking up this stone. Snowflake walked over to the now sleeping dragon said, “you know it would be nice to find some place safe to sleep tonight. And I think your dragon needs a safe place too. Why don’t you carry your dragon to your room then ill help carry your brother to his room.” she said lifting the tiny dragon like a mother would do with a newborn baby. I took the dragon awkwardly in my arms and carried it back to my room. I laid the dragon down on my bed realizing that I still had my bow and arrows strapped to my back. I placed them next to the dragon. I then took out the sword and laid it on top of the dresser I also moved the books to the dresser as well. I went back out to the kitchen only to find Snowflake sitting on a chair passed out. I picked her up with ease just as Calderon picked me up a week ago. I carried her to my room and laid her in my bed and left to pick up Calderon as well. He wasn’t so easy to pick up so I wasn’t to thrilled to have to by my self.

    3.Time to Journey

I have been here for two months. And I still hadn’t gotten around to telling Dexter what it is I wanted from him. One of the earlier days I was here Calderon asked me how old I was. I told him seventeen, he then told me that I don’t act seventeen so I counter acted, I had to basically grow up by my self and then he didn’t say anything else after that. When he left Dexter came up to me and said that he had to be the man of the house when he was seventeen because that when their father left on his pointless journey to which they presume that ended with his death. I was careful for what I said after that, I didn’t need more enemies. A schedule kind of formed when I got here. They would wake up, eat, practice sword play, hunt for deer, go to town to check on the one called Stella, then come home and practice some more. Sometimes I would work with Dexter. When I was able to I always enjoyed it. Sometimes me and Calderon would practice, show Dexter new moves together then separate. But when it was time when they had to go into town I stayed behind. I was nervous, when I was with the Demons they taught us humans were not to be trusted. But I trusted Dexter and Calderon with my life, they were good people to be around. Always laughing, always smiling. Within that time span I turned eighteen. Dexter and Calderon insisted on getting my something. So yet again I stayed home waiting. It took longer then usual, so I went to the edge of the drive and looked down the road. Here they came with one other. A old looking man, maybe in his forty’s or fifty’s I didn’t know but when he saw me his eyes got real big with hope. I wonder why he looked at me like that? They came walking up the drive staring out in the void. When they reached me the old man said, “Ahhhh, so this is the young one you told me about.” he handed me a strange instrument and walking back down the road with out a glance back. Dexter and Calderon didn’t seem to realize what happened like he wasn’t even there. I watched as the old man disappeared into then air. It didn’t surprise me since I dealed with a lot of his kind, human spell casters. Seriously though, I was like Dexter hadn’t even seen him, or Calderon. I shrugged it off though. We walked in to there cabin-like house. Dexter pulled out a beautifully crafted black metal rose. He, since we were the same height, brushed back my hair and clipped it in. Calderon pulled out a potion and said, “ This will make you look human. Don’t ask just listen. Not everybody here in Altherldale is human. There is mostly elves and pixies, I found this sneaking behind a house looking for something for you. I thought this might be helpful on any journey you take.” and he handed me this potion. “ I bought this with the rest of the money I had. I saw it yesterday and thought of you.” he said indicating to the clip. The strange instrument I had earlier was in my bag. I took the potion and slipped that to in my bag. “ thanks you guys you are really good friends.” I said with a wide smile showing my, which I forgot to mention to them, pointed teeth spread apart like a vampires. To my surprise though they didn’t jump back in revulsion. Also with in that time period the dragon grow to be over our shoulders. The black grow darker and the gold shimmered and liquefied
As if it was really fire. The dragon was became increasingly harder to hide. At the end of the two months its head was as tall as one of the trees, big enough to ride. And strong enough to hold three people. On the third day of the third month Dexter turned eighteen, he becomes a man at that age in the Human Territory it seems. That was also the day the dragon could speak fluidly and the day the dragon became one with Rider. “ Dexter, I am now old enough for you to ride.” the dragon said. That gave Dexter one heck of a fright. He jumped up into the air so high that he could almost touch the highest branch of a tree. We all laughed, even the dragon. Of course Calderon forgot to tell him, well more like didn’t want to tell him. Every one knows that dragons can talk , with one exception, we just didn’t want to tell him. Well the dragon swooped under him and caught him just in time. “Wow!” he explained. “You know you still hadn’t named me.” the dragon said making that purring sound like it did when it hatched. “Well, I don’t know any dragon names and I don’t know if you’re a girl or not so I have a good reason why I hadn’t.”, “Well I am a girl, and I want something from you not someone else’s name.”, “How about………Ice Fire?”, “ I like it, what made you think of that?” she asked and Dexter looked warily at me but turned his head away when I caught him. What was he thinking? “I got it from I story I heard a couple months ago. Where this girl could control both ice and fire.” he looked down, embarrassed. Well at least he honest. I smiled and went to rub the side of Ice Fire’s face. She always hummed when we did this. When Dexter looked up his face was lightly pink. He climbed off of Ice Fire’s back and went to stand next to me and Calderon, well in between is more like it. Calderon laughed and gave what he called a nuggy to Dexter. I walked up to the house to grab my double bladed sword I kept hidden from them. I strapped it to my waist. Grabbed Dexter’s sword and his bow and arrows. I went into Calderon’s room and grabbed his steel long sword and his bow and arrows. And went outside and lead them on the porch. I went back in to get two bags and some food for our journey they didn’t know they had. By they time I went out the second time I came back out, I had my leather outfit I arrived in and the bags next to their weapons. They came then noticing our supplies and ask what we were doing. I said, “You better say your goodbyes because I don’t think you will ever see them again.” I indicated towards town. Dexter rushed inside and to get something. They didn’t ask again till we were half way down the road, on foot and Ice Fire in the air. My wings ached to be in the air as well. Dexter looked at me with concern and sadness in his eyes as he took in my expression. “You are hiding something. Where are we going Snowflake?” They both said at the exactly the same time. I sighed. I grabbed both their shirts and yanked. It was easy, even with their struggling. I called to Ice Fire and she flew under me and I dropped the boys. They landed on her nice and easy although not so soft. I flew beside them, one angle wing flapping the other demon wing gliding because of what I am. After flying far away from town we landed by a small lake. I knew I had explaining to do. We landed and the guys jumped off the dragon with anger, well only Calderon had anger Dexter had admiration on his face, and ran up to me before I had even my feet down. “What the heck was that Snow?!” Calderon yelled so I had to tell them. “ listen, I told you my story. But I didn’t tell you the reason behind it. I fear something bad is upon us, very bad. And I freared the dragons are in danger. I need a dragon riders assistance in order to find my parents. But as I traveled to three of the four lands, all I could feel was chaos. So I was even more in a rush to find one to restore peace to the four realms so we all didn’t need to live in secret of each other.” when I finished I half expected to be yelled at some more. But instead I got arms around me. Hugging to what they called it back in town. At first I thought it was Calderon because the arms that held me were strong enough to hold me there but gentle enough to sooth me. When I lifted my head it was Dexter that hugged me. Calderon put his big hand on my shoulder. I couldn’t feel it but I guessed there hands were touching the thin membrane of my demon wing and the soft feathers of my angels wing. I laid my head back on Dexter’s shoulder, I felt good to just stand there, and with Calderon’s hand still on my shoulder he rubbed it, gently of course. Ice Fire came over and said, “Its all right hatchling.” then she came on her belly and put her head up against my leg. I didn’t realize I was crying till I lifted my head, being careful of not poking Dexter in the eye with one of my horns, and saw the wet stains on his shirt. “I’m sorry, I just get emotional to much so that’s why I tried to stay away from society.” I whispered. I looked up into emerald green eyes and they were staring back at my garnet and sappier eyes. I look over to Calderon’s eyes and they too were like a gemstone, opal I think hard to tell to much blue but too much white. I looked down and looked into Ice Fire’s liquid gold eyes. I look down at my feet incased in leather boots. I pulled away to say something more till Dexter grabbed me around my waist and pulled me behind him obscured from view. He pulled out his yellow bladed sword and Calderon pulled out his. I whispered a spell in my head and a ball of ice and fire melted together to make a liquidy black flame. We held that position till the thing that they had saw before I stepped out into the moonlight. Ice Fire growled and pulled back her mouth showing millions of teeth. “Beautiful night is in it?” the tiny girl said. She had mostly black hair with a few blue strands of blue hair spreaded randomly across her head. “I’ve been looking for you hybrid, Calderon, and especially you Dexter.” she said smiling. I hissed a little at the name hybrid but growled when she said Dexter. “Calm, calm. My name is Luna, I’m a moon creature. I draw out patterns of the stars, make scenes in the sky that little of the Demons, Angels, Dragons, or the Humans can see them. I also play another role that other Moon Creatures don’t have, to be the guardian for this Dragon Rider right in front of you hybrid.” I flinched. The black ball of flame went out when no one was threatening me or my friends anymore. I stepped out from behind Dexter and that’s when I noticed he still had a hold on my waist. “She has a name you know.” Calderon said sheathing his sword. “What’s your name hybrid?” Luna asked. “Snowflake,” I muttered. “You seem to be telling the truth Luna.” I touched Dexter’s arm to let him know it was ok. He let go after a long moment of staring into my eyes to be sure I was telling the truth. He let go and I walked up to the tiny girl and raised my hand. I had another power that I didn’t tell them about. I can tell if someone is lie by a touch. She raised her hand to, we sock hands and I could tell she was telling the truth about everything. We let go, during our exchange I heard Dexter sheath his sword as well. Ice Fire wouldn’t talk for the rest of the night. She didn’t seem to like the new girl very much. I have to admit sharing isn’t my best quality even with all my different types. Luna talked all the time, mostly to Dexter, and speaking little to me especially. Since our meeting with Luna our journey has increasing became easier. We broke out of the woods this morning and came to a stop so Ice Fire could drink. “We have to stop at the first town we see. Question, how long does that potion last?” I said to Calderon. “I don’t know about a month I guess,” he shrugged. “Why do we need to stop?” Dexter asked. So I said, “Because we need horses dumb butt.” I dug in my bag a grabbed the potion Calderon gave me for my birthday. I drank a little, saving some for later use, and I started to ach everywhere. I felt my wings decrease in size and disappear back into my skin. My horns started to grow back on them selves and disappear as well. My hair and skin turned white then began to get color in them again. My hair stayed light to what they called blonde hair. My skin stared to change as well, getting color in them too. They started to change to a color that matched Dexter and Calderon’s nicely. All though I hated to do this but I gave the potion to Luna to take a small drink too. Dexter was staring at me like a lost puppy finally finding his mamma. I smiled. My teeth were still the same though so I had to be careful when I open my mouth. I could of looked like Dexter’s sister for all tints and puporses they decided that I resembled Dexter to much to not call me his sister. Luna handed me the almost full bottle back. I turned around to her and she looked like she just stepped out of midnight nightmares. Here long fully black hair played nicely to her olive toned skin. Her eyes were also changed to fully black instead of half and half In each eye. I went to the nearest stream only to find out that all my enchancments, physical and magical, was still in play as well. I looked into the water and baby blue eyes stared back at me. The metal rose was still in my hair which I was happy to find. I turned my head to see Luna doing the exact same thing looking at her eyes. “Finally, we look normal.” she whispered. “Yeah look but not our true selves. We still have our powers, and physical enhancements. That didn’t change.” I said back standing back up.
