• Good morning! Well, good some time. With no windows in my cell, it is hard to tell the time. And really it's not a very good time at all. I slept like a rock. And I slept on rocks. So needless to say every bone in my body aches. And the guard already struck me for thanking him for the food. Apparently manners aren't very well received here.
There is good news though! In reading more from the journal I discovered some new things. I am forty feet underground, with three flights of stairs between me and the guard station. If the information is still correct, there are ten guards stationed there at all times. If I want to escape, all I need to do is break through the thick, oak door, run through the maze of corridors, run up three flights of stairs, defeat the guards, run up a final flight of stairs, break through yet another oak door and an iron grate, then I'm home free! Or... I can make the guard very angry until he puts me in a separate room where conditions are supposedly much harsher than they are here. How this is possible, I am not quite sure, as it is plain awful right now. At any rate, in this other cell there is a small grate in the floor. Inside the small grate is a sharp stake. Once I have the stake I can finish tunneling my way into some pond or something nearby. It says, "The tunnel is behind the crumbled rock beneath the bed." I don't know exactly how it all works, the details aren't very detailed.
I hear the guard at the far cells. It must be mealtime or something... I'm going to replace the journal and try what it says. If I don't make it back here, good luck to the next reader of this!
