• Anko sighed as she watched Asuma smile as he walked past Kurenai. Though they tried to hide it, Anko knew they were lovers. They were two of the lucky ones who had found they're true love. She knew that would never be her. Everyone feared her.
"Damn curse mark. Orochimaru, you b*****d. You've left me loveless." She mumbled to herself.
There was someone she liked, but she knew he would never fall for her.
He was the popular guy. The one everyone liked because he was very mysterious. No one knew what he hid behind that mask or what his left eye looked like. And most of all, what he hid from. What his past was like.
    Hatake Kakashi.
Only one thing has kept me going. Only one thing has kept me from running away or killing myself. You, Kakashi. No matter how hard I try, I can't ever seem to keep you off my mind. I also can't seem to be able to have a conversation that doesn't involve yelling at you... I just want you to love me. I want you to accept me for who I am. Hatake Kakashi, why can't you see that I love you?
"Good morning, Anko-san." A familiar voice said.
"Good morning, Iruka. What do you want?"
"I wanted to tell you something." He said, taken aback.
    "What? More rumors?" She asked.
"No. I don't listen to that junk. I was asked to tell you something." He said brightly.
"What?" She asked, a little annoyed that her thoughts had been inturrupted.
"Hatake Kakashi wants to talk to you." He said with a smile.
"Not funny. You really get a kick out of annoying people, don't you?" She asked, using every ounce of self-control she had not to punch him in the face.
    "I'm not joking!!!" He said.
"Like Kakashi would ever want to talk to me after I nearly bit his head off the other day." She sighed.
"That's why he wants to talk to you." Iruka explained.
    "Fine. Where is he?"
"The Great Stone Faces. He said meet him there as soon as I told you?"
"Is that a statement or a question, Iruka?"
    "Statement?"
"Good enough. If this turns out to be one of your jokes, you're dead." She said, hoping he'd call his bluff.
    "Okay. It's not a joke."
Anko sighed and got up, wondering what was going on.
"Ah! He is up there!" She said as she neared the monument.
She hopped up to him and sat down.
"I was told you wished to talk?"
"Yeah. It's not about the other day, like I told Iruka it was."
"Then what did you want me for?"
"I know you like me, Anko."
She sat up in surprise. She thought she'd done a good job of hiding it. "What? Are you crazy?"
"Don't try to deny it. I know you do."
    "Was it obvious?"
"No. I just figure these things out." He said, looking towards her.
"Well, why did you want me here?"
"I wanted to tell you that I love you, Anko. I have for a while."
    "What?!?" She said, startled.
"I love you, Anko." He repeated.
She smiled. She couldn't believe it. He leaned in towards her. She moved towards him and closed her eyes...
Anko sat up abruptly and looked around. She was at home.
"It was all a dream..." She said sadly
