• He stood down the street, half terrified, as he stared at the old manor. There were many stories about the manor being haunted by a phantom. As he slowly walked toward the place, he remembered one story in particular.
Years ago a man by the name of William, moved to the country side, along with his soon to be wife, Shirley. They bought a plot of land, and built a house of their own. They opened a small shop, and ran it together. In the afternoons, they would sit out in the yard watching the sun set. It was a slower, simpler time, but they were happy. They eventually got married and life continued as happy as can be. Time led on as it dose, and they grew older and older every day, but still had many years to go, and things were fine. One day, an epidemic swept the land. Shirley was one of the many to catch this illness. William hired all the best doctors around, but all assumed the worst. He sold their shop to pay the bills, and to look after his wife, just as she had for all those years. He tried to stay optimistic and hope for the best. But all that optimism slowly turned to sorrow and anguish after watching his wife go through day after day of agonizing pain. One day, he left to get some food and rags for his wife, but only to return to a lifeless corpse. Time passed and so came the funeral. That day, the sky's wept, just as he did. He watched them bury her on top of Cory Hill. The drive home was treacherous, for the roads were wet and slippery, and it was impossible to see more than a foot in front of you. As he made the sharp turn onto Cory Cliff Side Road, his car began to spiral out of control, and so, it fell off the side of the road and began its dive into the ocean. As William fell to his death, his whole life passed before him, and as his final second passed, he was happy that he would be reunited with his true love once more.
Andrew, never backing down from a dare, entered the old manor, and was never heard from again. There were many searches, but none successful, and his parents gave up hope. One day, ten years after ten year old Andrew's disappearance, an old man left a letter on his grave, then mysteriously vanished. The letter had blood writing and it read:

    "BEWARE THE OLD MANOR"
