• I rub my eyes while turning to get Apple. My hand doesn't catch her. I turn to check if she moved. She's gone. Suddenly frantic I glance around the room hoping to find her. My teddy is gone. My eyes well up in tears. I couldn't do anything without Apple. She's my best friend. I wish I could feel her soft cottony feel one more time. I get up and pace around the room wondering where she is. I get up the courage to get out, I slowly reach out and open the door. The light frightens me so I slam the door shut again. I try to open the door again, slowly getting used to the light. I walk into a giant room filled with chairs and one long table. I crawl over, to afraid to walk. I slowly stand up, the room becomes a bit smaller. I walk out of the big door that is on the other side of the room. The world is huge, I smile briefly but fright fills me again. I think of Apple and courage once again fills me. I take a few steps into this new world I am now in. I take in this new world that is huge and infinite. I see a huge forest, I know it is because I saw it in my book about the world. I run towards it hoping to find her in a more animal friendly place. I see a teddy, I run towards it. I stop when I see a girl holding it, I also notice that this is not my teddy. My teddy is an elephant this is a bear. She also looks happy, I haven't been happy in many years, I rarely smile so she can't be me. Not only that but I'm here. She notices me and smiles widely. I wave a bit but I end up looking dejected. She asks what's wrong. I can barely utter a no. I end up spilling to her about my Apple, my teddy elephant. She pats my shoulder then tells me "I will help you find her, my teddy is important to me, so yours must be important to you." We walk along a skinny walkway until we reach a huge tree. it has silver and gold leaves. I smile and reach towards a leaf. It speaks, I jump back gasping "I know what you need, walk towards the brightest star for two days then ask the witch to look in her drawer." I cocked my head and tried my best to remember all the stuff she said. I finally take it all in. I bow to the tree "Thank you great tree, you are really amazing" It creaked in the wind, it sounded like a laugh. I turn and ask the girl "What's your name" She looks surprised "I forgot to tell you my name didn't I. My name is Luna and this is Treetrunks." She lifts up her bear to show me. I nod "My name is Chi and my elephants name is Apple." I frown again. I weighs down on me, I start to cry. Luna hold me for a few moments. I stand, tears still flowing down my cheeks. I walk to the road the great tree told me to be on. TI know it's the road because there is a star following me, We walk on the silver road, I don't stop walking for two days, Luna tries to keep up but can't. When she can't see me I collapse and wait for her to catch up. The forest gets denser every moment, finally at the end of the second day we reach a giant castle with a thistle wall. We climb. It's quite painful, I tell Luna to get on my back. I have become quite strong while walking over, it's really easy t climb. It hurts but I keep thinking about Apple. I get over then jump down. It doesn't even hurt to leap all the way down. I run a top speed towards the castle. I bang myself on the door until it breaks down. A huge women looms over me. She frowns but then she grins. "Ah, the tree tells me you have been coming here, to get Apple you must go through three trials." She vanishes. I cringe. I set Luna on the floor, I remember what the great tree said about the drawers. Suddenly whole room becomes giant. I start running towards the drawers. I don't seem to be going anywhere. Luna is still by my side and she isn't even moving. I inhale in frustration. I stop, the witch appears again. "To get through this trial you cannot touch the floor to get to drawer, the next trial you must climb a flat wall, the last trial you must fight against a fierce fighter." She vanished again. Me and Luna jump from table to chair. We reach the drawers and are standing on a dust bunny. I try to climb it but I cannot find a foothold. I almost get up but then fall back down. I jump a little because the dust bunny is squishy. I don' think much about it but Luna does. "Stupid, let's bounce." I look at her. Um... how will that help." She jumps and goes higher and higher. I realize that all I need to do is bounce. We go higher and higher. Each jump takes us farther and farther into the air. We finally reach the edge. We get up and see a spindly creature. It pins me to the wall and rears it eight eyes head. It was about to bite me, probably kill me when it's head was riped from it's head. The green goo flowed everywhere. Luna put her arm down. She had just cut the spider's head off. She grinned, Treetrunks lifted it's head and roared with triumph. I smirks "Luna, wow...." We get to the drawer and we can't open it. We are to small. Suddenly the room became the right size. We basically topples off the drawer. I opened it and found Apple.

    I smiled, my world was a lot bigger and not so scary. I loved Apple and she would be with me forever but now I am not trapped in my room, paralyzed with fear of being without Apple. I would never part with her again because she would always be in my heart. I picked her up and me and Luna walked away hand in hand. We would be good friends. We climbed the thistle wall. We were both stronger, me I'm a bit smarter and self sufficient, she is stronger and faster.
