i stood there and watched you fade. i think that's the day i realized i couldn't feel my heart anymore. it didn't beat the way it used to. as if a piece of it were missing. mostly because there was. you were gone and i was left there pretending to be okay when everything wasn't. i cried, you smiled. and it's been that way ever since you left. i loved you unconditionally. i loved you the way i needed you to love me. i loved you despite your flaws and imperfections. as if there were any in my own eyes.
