• He tore through the brambles , thorns tearing at his flesh . He was too frantic to allow the down pour to stop his search . Willing his body through the thick brush , he found her there on the swing , staring into her drenched lap . He let out a sigh as relief washed over him . She was unmoving , but she swung back and forth slowly . The strong winds were pushing her .

He stared at her ; he studied her . Her white shirt clung to her body , outlining her breasts . Her plaid skirt wrinkled upward , toward her waist , and her dark leather boots glimmered as rain droplets reflected lightening . Her soaking , black hair twisted and danced as her chest rose and fell faintly . Her pale hands were folded in her lap , concealing whatever lay underneath . The boy couldn't make it out , but he didn't care .

He began to approach her , but she didn't look up . He made his way past the drowning tulips and dandelions . He pushed past the wilting , tall grass and giant weeds . He looked around himself , watching the Jasmine Ivies and Weeping Willow trees being pounded by the angry rain . He then trudged up the hill , gazing up at her . Lightening closed in around them ; the sound of thunder consumed them .

Looking straight at her , he cupped a hand on her right cheek . His touch woke her daze , and she stared up into his eyes . Anger danced dangerously in her irises , piercing his gaze .

Reluctantly , but sweetly , he whispered , " Love -- " but she then pressed her lips against his , forcing his silence . As she slipped her tongue in to dance with his , she picked up what rested her lap . The cold , smooth surface touched under his chin .

She broke the kiss , smiled , and pulled the trigger .
