• I was walking down an ally toward what I thought was my death but a mere warning. There was an old set of units that had a bad scent to them and I thought I would go investigate. I’ve got magic in me you see. I can control lightning and water and talk to animals and plants, and I can sense and see things that I probably shouldn’t be able to. Like, I can sense what sort of weather is going to occur and I can see people who will walk past me in the street before they’ve even left there house and I can control the elements. So I’ve got a pretty bad reputation with bad senses and getting myself in trouble a lot. And right now I can sense dark magic being used.
When I got to the old units I took my knife out of my brown leather boots I was wearing and got ready to fight in case I needed to. The door was open so I let myself in and turned left toward a set of stairs. I didn’t go up the stairs but turned right. There was a voice talking to someone or something. I peeped around the corner to see who it was. And then I saw him. The man I’d been scared of my whole life. The only man that I’ve ever met that could scare me. I feared him, and he was back.
“Mickal.” I whispered, and he looked at me. Straight in the eyes. I tried to look away, but it was too tempting. So golden, so bright, so… Mesmerizing. It was so hard to look away from his eyes.
“NO.” I screamed, bending over with my hands covering my head. But he just laughed. (A laugh that probably caused a volcano to erupt somewhere in Hawaii.) I started to stand up straight, but when I looked up, he was gone, vanished. Then turning around I headed for the door. I only got about five steps out the door before realizing Mickal was standing at the other end of the ally, a wide grin on his face. Then, still looking at me, he took three steps closer and said
“I come with no desire to hurt you Shikiyra, Only a warning. Do not return.”
I knew exactly what he meant and I didn’t care either.
“Or I’ll have the joys of killing you.” He added widening his grin.
That struck me, or should I say him. There was an unbelievably strong power surge rising up in me and the next thing I knew there was a lightning bolt shooting out of my hand and hitting Mickal’s
Hand and it dissolved. I threw another one but he court it and. I threw a third, but he court that one as well, so I threw another and another and a few more after that, but he court them all. His grin had left his face by now and without thinking I threw the biggest one I could, but again, he court it with no problem. I was exhausted and he took a step back and a big lighting bolt formed in his hand.
“How about I return the favor Shikiyra.” He said and threw the bolt at me. It hit me in the stomach and I literally flew through the door and a wall. And then hitting the side of the kitchen bench, I dropped to the ground. My whole body hurt like hell and I could see Mickal walking towards me through the big whole in the door and wall.
“Heave my warning princess.” He advised before leaving the way he came.
    Then I woke up.
