• Nina was just getting ready to leave for school, when her mother called her down to talk.
“Nina will u please come down here I have something to tell you,” Nina’s mother yelled while feeding her little sister.
“Can this wait mom I am late for school.” Nina told her mother as she slowly walked down the stairs.
“I am sorry Nina but this can’t wait,” said Nina’s mother.
“What do you need mom?” Nina shouted.
“Were moving to your aunt’s house in the south,” her mom exclaimed.
“Wow mom do you really think I will fall for that, I am not stupid you know,” shouted Nina. That’s when Nina realized her mom was not joking around with her.
“Why do we have to move to an old ugly house?” Nina exclaimed.
“Well Nina, I had a sister once and she died before you were born and her house keeper has been taking care of her house and they just found her will, it says we inherited her house,” Nina’s mom answered. Nina went to school with a big frown on her face. Her friends tried to cheer her up but it wouldn’t work. Instead Nina went home and moaned all day.
“Nina start packing up we are leaving in 3 days!” said Nina’s mother. While Nina packed, she thought about what her new house would look like and if she would like it or not. She whispered, “Ill find out when I get there.”
Nina and her family drove for four hours to their destination in their small van. While Nina tried to sleep, her sister started throwing a tantrum. Nina whispered to herself “Of all the times she can throw a tantrum she picks now?”
There were just two hours left until they get to their new house, but for Nina it felt like forever locked in a jail house.
When they finally got to there new house, Nina thought it was ugly, smelly and she could have sworn she saw a man on the roof.
“Nina will you please help me unpack the clothes from the car then watch your sister?” said Nina’s mother
“Sure mom.” Nina thought it smelled of death and sadness. Nina didn’t like this at all. Nina took out three boxes but then got distracted by a beautiful shiny necklace on the ground. She picked it up and stared at it for the longest time.
“Nina stop goofing around and unpack the clothes from the car then watch your sister,” Nina’s mother snapped. Then, she surprisingly stuffed the necklace in her pocket and went back to work. The whole time she unpacked she thought about whom the beautiful necklace belonged to in this ugly destroyed place.
Nina finally finished unpacking and went to put her stuff in her new room.
“Nina watch your sister Daisy I am going to the store I’ll be back in ten minutes” Nina’s mom shouted.
Nina went back to looking at the silvery necklace she found out side.
“Hey Nina will you please make me some food?” said her little sister Daisy.
“Not now Daisy I am busy” said Nina. Then Daisy waddled off to the living room to watch Sponge bob. Meanwhile, Nina was still staring at the necklace that she had found and thinking whose necklace it could be? Nina skipped down stairs and looked around the old house. She walked down to the basement and found a little door with a lock on it. She didn’t under stand why there would be a door this small here in the first place. Nina tried to break the lock but it wouldn’t budge.
“Nina can you please make me some food?” said Daisy.
“Ok Daisy ill be right there” Nina said in a suspicious tone. Nina then went up to the kitchen and grabbed a pop tart and opened it for daisy.
“Daisy come here and get your food,” Nina then shouted. Daisy rushed to the kitchen. Nina went back to her room to unpack her clothing but while she was doing that she noticed a little key. She went over to it and picked it up she even though it wouldn’t fit into the lock of the tiny door, in the basement still added it to the objects in her pocket.
“Nina I am home Daisy I am home” said their mother.
“Hi!” said both Nina and Daisy.
Nina went back down to the basement to try out the key she found. To her surprise it fit and she turned the knob and it clicked open. Nina pushed open the door and a hand grabbed her and dumped her into a little tight room. “Ah!” Nina screamed
A small doll dropped down and Nina saw it. Nina picked it up and pulled the string.
“You’re never getting out now” the doll said
“Nina can you come here I need some help with dinner” her mother said. “Nina?” “Nina!” “Daisy do you know were Nina is?”
“I saw her go down to the basement” said Daisy. Nina’s mom ran down to the basement and saw that there was a key on the floor and a little door on the wall. She tried to open the door with the key but it wouldn’t budge. Her mom called the police so they could try to break the door open.
“Hello? 911 my daughter has been trapped inside a little door,” said Nina’s mother.
“OK, we will be there as fast as we can” said the operator. Then, Nina’s mom heard police sirens.
Mean while Nina was trying to kick and scream but it just made her even more tired. Nina thought she heard her mother’s voice calling to her. Nina screamed even harder but nothing would work. Nina was too tired of kicking and screaming she just collapsed onto the floor.
“This is the door she got stuck in officer do u think u can get her out?” said Nina’s mother.
“We can try,” said the tall police officer. Suddenly the officer called every one to get a tool and try to break down the wall. Everybody was banging and hitting the wall trying to get it to crack, but nothing was happening. When all hope was lost Nina’s mother noticed a small hole in which they were banging at.
Suddenly the wall started breaking and they all saw an opening. They all started pushing the rocks over to the side and they saw Nina lying on the floor.
“Nina!” “We found you I was so worried,” “Nina?” “Nina!” said Nina’s mother.
“Send her to the nearest hospital stat!” a police officer yelled.
2 hours later. Nina was up and awake after she was given food, water, and medicine. No one would believe Nina that she was grabbed into that room. Nina and her family moved back and they tried to forget everything about this day.
