• Stefani turned over, trying not to see the light peeking through the cracks of her windows. She yawned and sat up and had an urge to puke, she quickly stood up and sprinted into her huge bathroom. Her roommate and also her closest friend walked in there and asked, "Stefani, are you alright?”
Maddie graduated high school last year and is currently working at the local newspaper as a full time writer. She has known since the start of the ‘problem’ and was the one that drove to the drugstore to pick up the test. She was also the one who threatened to murder Stefani's boyfriend, Jake for getting Stefani pregnant.

"I'm calling Jake!" Stefani murmured as she reached for her iphone. "Grab my phone and dial his number, please." The morning sickness passed, for now. After Maddie handed her the
phone and Stefani pressed it to her small ear, waiting for him to pick up. She felt a little awkward calling him but when he answered she said, “Hey, do you think you can come over?” she heard a yes on the other line and after that she hung up.

She flopped back down on the bed with Maddie and said, "Well, senior year is going to suck." She said as she rolled over and buried her head in one of her pink cheetah print pillows.

Stefani heard the loud annoying doorbell ring and Maddie ran downstairs to answer it, it was Stefani’s boyfriend, Jake. Maddie scowled looking at Jake, he was the one that caused her best friend to be sick. She sighed and brought Jake in to see Stefani and then she stepped out of the room so they could talk.

"Hey." Stefani said as she sat up.
"Hi. How do you feel?" Jake asked nervously.
"Alright, I guess. I think it's time we go to the doctor's," Stefani said, her parents were never home and she always feels so alone in the big house, even though Maddie lives here with her, "and you should move in with us. I've been thinking about it for a while and I think it's time we take it to the next level, just leave your apartment and stay here, with me. The house is plenty big, My parents said that they would pay for it until I'm done with senior year, so we can save up for the baby."

Jake was a little shocked with her offer and pondered about it for a moment, his parents don't care about him anymore, he graduated high school last year and he has a pretty good job as a car sales man so he said, "That would be great!" He said as he hugged her.

A couple of hours later Jake pulled up in his tall black truck with all of his things and started to unload some boxes. Maddie had walked outside to help him. "Are you actually going to help me?" Jake asked Maddie as she grabbed a box of movies and CDs.

"Yeah, but you should realize I'm only doing this for Stefani. She really loves you. You better not screw this up, because I'll murder you in your sleep, remember I live in the same house." Maddie said as she walked inside with his box. Maddie had never liked Jake. She always thought of him as a waist of space and time.

After they unloaded his truck Jake walked up the steps to Stefani’s room and he laid down next to her and said quietly, "We'll figure this out, I know we will."
