• Kaylee looked up from where she was sitting.

    "Yes, Mrs. Rae?"

Her eyes sparkled like the starts in the sky. The red-haired scene queen was anything but normal, her hair was teased, combed and straightened out. Her over-sized frame, which held her glasses lenses in were a bright blue. Her eyes shined with green and brown. She looked around at the different eyes on her.

"Are you going to come up and read your book report, Miss Sweet?"

    The teacher asked.

    "Yes."

    Kaylee replied.

She stood up and walked over to the front of the classroom. She read her report on The Devil's Arithmetic. It was a very dramatic, touching story about a girl who goes back in time and experiences what her crazed Grandfather and Aunt Eva experienced during World War II, in the concentration camps. Once she was finished, the teacher told her it was excellent by and nod. She turned in her paper and took a seat, listening and not listening to the other reviews of various books. She started drawing a heart with a K + T in it. Kaylee and Taylor. Taylor was her crush, but she never chocked up enough courage to ask him out.
