• “What the H E double hockey sticks is going on!” Momo yelled as she pulled a hand through her newly long hair. “Braiding this is going to take forever now.” She added, turning the water on to wash her face off. A knock rang through the room; it was from the main door.
“Is everything alright child?” A hushed voice asked.
“Yeah, I’ll um… be out in a minute.” Momo replied.
“There is a dress for you on the bed.” The voice said again and drifted away, the door gently closed meaning the person was in her room. Momo walked out of the bathroom with a cloth to dry her face off with, on the bed was a sea green dress and a black hooded cloak. She walked closer to the dress and looked at it, a plain dress with gold lines that swirled all over the skirt area. Brushing a hand over the design she could tell it was hand stitched. Momo picked up the dress holding it to her body; the cool fabric touched her skin everywhere.
“I better get ready.” She said pulling off her night gown, and stepping into the dress. Momo ran into the bathroom to look at herself in the mirror she looked and felt like a princess, but the only thing missing was the crown. She quickly braided her hair, and ran to the bed to grab the cloak she pulled it over her dress and walked out the door to find Rundle standing there.
“You look stunning my lady.” He complimented
“Thank you Rundle, shall I depart now?” Momo asked tilting her head to the side.
“Yes, but the rain will be on and off. The cloak will keep you dry.”
    “Thank you.”
Rundle gave a slight nod and guided her to the stables, down the hall to another set of stairs that spiraled down.
“Take the stairs the first door on your left is the stables, Pascal should have a horse ready for your journey. Tell him Knight Sky.” He bowed, and then shuffled away. Momo walked down the stair and found the door that Rendell was talking about. Momo opened the door and got hit with the scent of horse feed and straw, he muscles relaxed on point. Stepping into the stable she saw a tall man standing in the middle holding a brown stallion by the horse’s halter, Momo walked closer to the man.
“Excuse me? Are you Pascal?” Momo asked in a child voice, the man turned around. His face was stern, but his eyes had a slight blue tint to its light brown color. His hair a blonde color, but very dirty along with his skin.
“Yes, how are you. And why is it so important you interrupt me right now?” Pascal asked
“Um, Momo. Sorry Rendell told me to come here, she said mention Night Sky.” The man's eyes opened wide, after she said Night Sky.
“Why that horse, it’s wild, untrained, crazy when taken outside in rain. Alright follow me Momo.” Pascal walked down the long row of stalls full with horses, Momo walked behind not so close she kept stopping to look at the different horses in their stall.
“Momo come here!” Pascal shouted Momo ran to Pascal. He stood in front of a stall a pitch black horse put its head out the window.
“This is Night Sky; he’s the fastest one here.” Pascal opened the stall door and the horse stomped out, Pascal grabbed the horse, and coned him.
“There, there boy.” Pascal motioned Momo to come next to him. “He’s gentle when he wishes to be, but maybe he’ll be different toward you.”
“Sounds comforting.” Momo walked up to Night Sky, and put her hand out. He sniffed the hand, and laid his muzzle in her hand.
    “He likes you, wow.”
“I’m good with animals, and he’s like a giant dog.” Momo said putting her other hand on his cheek; she started to stroke his nose and cheek. “Gentle boy.”
“Let’s get him tacked up shall we.” Pascal lead Night Sky over to a room, Pascal clipped Knight Sky to a rope. Momo kept petting Knight Sky, as Pascal went inside the room he came out with a saddle, saddle pad, and a bridle. Pascal quickly put the tack on Knight Sky.
“All set let’s get you up on this boy shall we.” Pascal said unclipping Knight Sky and walked him over to the main stable entrance. “Careful mounting him, he’ll try to run most likely.” Pascal added, Momo walked over to Knight Sky and put a hand on his shoulder, putting a foot into one of the stirrups she swung herself up and onto the giant horses back.
“Lets get out you headed out now shall we.” Pascal gave a hint of a smile as he opened the door of the stables; outside the rain had stopped briefly. “It’s pretty clear now get a head start before it starts to pour again.”
Momo nodded then nudged the horse forward, Night Sky went into a steady walk when she and Knight Sky got outside, and Momo nudged him again into a trot then a canter. Waving her thanks to Pascal she and Knight Sky went into a gallop.
Momo had a lot of time to think, because after about an hour of galloping then cantering then trotting Knight Sky started to go into a graceful walk.
“You got tired pretty fast boy huh?” Momo laughed as she ran her hand through Knight Sky’s mane, the horse grunted in response.
“You’re not such a bad boy are you?” She added rubbing the spot between Knight Sky’s ears, the horse neighed with delight. Momo laughed again; looking up she saw the fork in the road “Stay to the right of the road” She remembered what Rendell had said to her, pulling Knight Sky to the right they walked down the right side of the road.
“We’ll be there soon bud.” Momo said as the rain started to pick up again, nudging Knight Sky back into a canter.
