• It was a Friday. A dark, cold, rainy Friday. The worst kind. A Pep-Rally is being held on this ugly, discusting Firday. I had a bad feeling in my gut as soon as I walked through the gymnasium doors. I felt a chill, I felt a draft, a breeze in the middle of the floor. Oh no, this cannot be good. I thought to myself. I sat down with my friends on the cold bleechers. I spotted some popular 10th graders behind me, which was odd because the 8th grade was usually in front of the 7th graders. I felt one of the 10th graders flip back my hair and start poking me. "What the hell-o-kitty" I screem out loud as I jump out of my seat. Everyone stares at me. My friends start cracking up in dead silence and the 10th graders follow. Okay it wasn't that bad...I only screamed in front of the whole school. No biggie. I thought. "Alexandria from 8th grade," I heard my name being called from the Teacher thats in charge of the Pep-Rallys. "What," I say."You have won the drawing for the 1000 dollar giveaway, Congrats" Mrs. Berns says ever so un-peppy. "Okay" I say, all mellow and quiet. "Well you have to come down here." she says, annoyed now. "Ookay..." I say back. I jump over some 7th graders on the bleechers and some 6th and so forth. When I go to step over some tiny 5th graders I trip over some girl's bookbag. I start rolling down the bleechers. Thank goodness I had my shorts under my skirt uniform "Oh gosh, I'm such a clutz" I whisper to myself. I hear a roar of laughter coming from the whole school. 9th, 10th, 11th graders mocking me, laughging their heads off. This is so horrible. I grab the Check from Mrs. Berns and walk swiftly to my place in the bleechers. "Your such a clutz," the most pouplar 10th grader of the whole school said. "But your cute, would you want to have dinner with me next Saturday," he asked and all my friends gasped in excitment and jealousy. "We'll see," I say as I slip a pink piece of paper into his hand and smile. He opens in and smiles at my phone number written in it. "Sounds good to me" he says as he leans back to his seat in the bleecher. I turn around. Maybe this wasn't such a bad day at all. I smile.
