• A few days ago, i was walking in a park, just like any other day. i was making my way towards the my favourite spot, the lake shore by the pond, when i heard someone call my name. I turned around, knowing that the voice sounded familiar. It turns out it was my friend Krystal, whom i only just met, 2 days ago. I was bewildered yet very surprised and happy.

I didn't know what happened around me, knowing that it didn't matter. The only thing i remembered that we did first when we saw each other, was that we gave each other a really big hug. It seemed that everything had happened in slow motion, the speed we were running in towards each other, the other children playing in the park, even the fish splashing in the water. Afterwards, we slowly made our way towards the edge of the pond, not knowing what to say. I felt lost and confused... yet i was happy and feeling serene. We talked for awhile, though i was 10 min or an hour. I never had a better time talking to another person. It felt as if everything we said was just the perfect thing at the perfect moment, and i cherished every moment of it. I wasn't afraid and unsure talking to her for some reason, like i do for many other people, i almost felt as if i had known her for a very long time, as if we were... related in some way and that it almost seemed too much of a coincidence, when she said that she used to have a brother that looked a lot like me and that he had a very similar personality to me.

I felt almost warm inside, that i could possibly have a sister. Even though she was a year older than me, i knew i had to ask her; Was i possibly her brother? As i was about to ask her, her mother had appeared right next me, and interrupted our conversation. I was a little angry at first but as i took a better look at her, she looked like someone i had once known... then, as if by magic, everything to Krystal's mother became very clear. She explained in detail what had happened to her son back then, it turned out that she lost me one day in a very busy street and when i wasn't found in time, i was placed in an orphanage where no one else heard in the family heard from me again and it was assumed that i was kidnapped, killed, and then forgotten by my family. I was then later adopted by another family and so, given a different name. I was very surprised that my family had still remembered what i looked like back then when i was a child and even predicted what i would look like now. Though i was also very sad and angry that i didn't know what had happened before and was only just told the truth a few minutes ago. Krystal's mum almost immediately, after telling me what had happened in the past, asked me to leave my parents now and join her family again. I reluctantly declined. I explained that i wasn't prepared to just leave and say nothing to my "fake" parents, i also then mentioned, before i was about to leave, that i wouldn't mind calling them "sister" and "mother" as long as there was no one else around. I also the agreed that i could visit them whenever i had time. And as i left, i felt good and grateful that i wasn't able to upset either families, whether they were my "real" parents or not.
