• There are times in life, when all you want to do is be by yourself, to think, to cry, to brood, whatever you need to do. Unfortunately, we as humans are not meant to be alone, so the endless struggle to find the one, that perfect soul mate your heart yearns for continues its endless cycle. Too many times have we read fairy tales describing that perfect person we dream in our hearts, but how rarely we actually find them. In a world so large, the odds of finding that soul mate seem nearly impossible.

Yet, even with all the endless possibilities, somewhere, somehow, people find their one in a million. And oh the joy you feel when you accomplish this impossible feat! To defeat the odds, to go against what everyone else thought and believed in, this is true victory and happiness. But what happens to those unable to find their one true love? Do they stay wandering in this world, searching endlessly for what they may never find? Or, do they just settle with what they believe is the best they can do? And if so, where is the fairness that little children so often speak of in all of this? Shouldn’t everyone be able to find the happiness life is supposed to bring? Can one truly be happy settling for second best? No. I don't believe this. I can't.

Unless your heart, mind, and soul are tied to your significant other, then the chance of you being together till death-do-you-part is not achievable. You don’t give your all to someone that you don’t believe deep down in your heart is not the one for you. This may be perhaps why they say love is blind. However, it is my belief that love is blind to our hearts, rather than our eyes. For when you close your heart, all you have is your eyes showing you they way. The only way to find that special someone is by following your heart. Only then does your heart truly see. It is then, and only then, can love, true love, be found.
