• I have many fears. I am afraid of the night. My neighborhood is dangerous. The worst thing? No one was home but a dog that runs for his life at the alarm of my clock and myself. I hadn't been prepared. I didn't know what to do when it came. I was so shocked. I had been watching late night TV, too afraid to go to bed. I had the threat the students made at school weighing over my head. I did not want to be burned alive with my house. I had seen a car just 2 weeks ago that exploded right in front of our house. I was paranoid that they would drive a car into my house. So many things raced through my mind. I was laying on the couch, eating chips to calm my nerves. The dog barks. Once. Twice. "Shut up" I say. Bark. BARK! SHAKE. The whole house starts shaking. I scream. I don't know what to do. It's still going on. Need to go under the table! Across in the other room... Baka. Somewhere closer. Closer! A picture falls from the wall. Great. I'm in the room with the "Wall of Pictures". Glass splatters everywhere. I shoot up in alarm from the couch and, without thinking, goes straight under the wall and ducks and covers. CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! More pictures rain down. A piece of glass stabs into wrist. I scream in pain. The shaking stops. Smaller quakes happen. They cease. I'm afraid to move. I get my phone out from my pocket to call my mom. Of course, as always, she doesn't answer. I call my step mom. No answer. 2 minutes later, she answers. I fall apart. Blood gushes out from my wrist. I don't notice that blood is also seeping from my back. She comes. I'm safe. I scream from pain. I faint...
