The pain of remembering thoughts from before, growing laughter till the tears hit the floor-
Fading smiles and building hearts, not knowing where to end, but first have to find the start-
You helping me through while changing my life, teaching me to smile away from the knife-
Owe you my life and everything I stand for, you built me to this, you are my hero-
Hoping for God to fill my hope, he sent you to me, you taught me to love, how to cope-
Years ago I needed a change, leading my hand to you, I learned to rearrange-
My deep heart was nothing but a hole; advice from you planted a seed into my soul-
Never thought to believe in angels before, not until I fell and you were my escort-
You helped me up, stood me to my feet; I could smile now, depression wasn’t my defeat-
I became powerful and my source was from you, No fake smiles anymore, everything true-
