By Blood or By Deed
By N.A. Triantaffelow
It is cold, harsh, unforgiving.
So what is this feeling here?
This tendency I fear?
To continue living, this is strange,
A vile instinct, quite so deranged.
But hear me now, my brother,
By blood or by deed,
I shall rule this land,
That is all that I need.
But to continue on, at a beggar's stance,
That is truly death, even at a glance.
And the world shall see,
That you, or me,
Even a pawn, can be king,
And to that I agree.
But all will ask, and I shall answer with glee,
By blood, or by deed, what is reality?

- Title: By Blood or By Deed
- Artist: Agrikar the Hidden
- Description: My second poem, immediately following Avarice and Apocalypse. This describes the strife that is living in poverty--a topic I wrote about to specifically contradict my first poem, thus the writer explains all that is required in life is wealth, for living the life 'at a beggar's stance' is like dying every day. Hope you all enjoy.
