• Half-a-heart

She has walked on this world,
    For thirteen years.
    Her biggest trait,
    Is no doubt her fears.
    Too much to hate,
    Too little to love.
There is nothing in her life,
    Nothing above,
    Her half-a-heart,
Which she’s had from the start.

    She’s walked through this life
    For thirteen years too long.
    She’s been singing the same
    Toneless and dull song.
    She’s been playing the same
    Meaningless game.
    She won’t mind when
It all goes up in flame.
She’ll be happy when she can depart
    From her little half-a-heart.

She just wants it to be done.
    This life is no fun.
    And it’s hardly even begun.
    She turns to run away,
Because she can’t bear to stay.
This is when it’s time to part
    With her little half-a-heart.
