Not another night

• Description: Basically, this is a poem/song that i wrote when my boyfriend had just dumped me, i know it sounds lame but writing songs got me through it, ive even got tunes to them on my guitar. i wanted him back and i just had to move on so i did in the end.

This time I know I'm gonna get it right
The signs all point to it this time
I know I've failed you once before
I've been lost since you walked out that door

Loving you snuck up and caught me off guard
No one compared to you
Immaturity played you in my game
And lost the best part of you

The bottle falls and hits the floor
smashes and i can’t stand it, one more chance
I know I won't mess it up, it's not over
don't say it’s over

I won’t spend another night, thinking about fate and explanations
Remapping, back tracking
Your moves for so long
I think a lot about that day we talk again
And Make it right now from here on in

I won't spend another night..I won't spend another night in tears..oh no

I'm tired of this talking in my sleep
Three more words will make my life complete
I'm through with my dreaming
Well it's not over (I'm sick of believing) I want you here right by my side

The mirror falls and hits the floor
smashes and i can’t stand it, one more chance
I know I won’t mess it up, it's not over
don't say it's over

i felt this exact same way when my bf broke up w/ me too
and i wrote stuff about it
i went crazy
i cried every chance i got it sucked

but as time went by he said he missed me and we talked for a long time and now we're back together. but this poem definetly (sorry i didnt spell that right) captures what one feels when that happens.
