• To be the Perfect Girl

    The sun flitters down
    The birds all sing
    Everyone is happy
Yet nobody notices the painful thing

    Through the joy
    Deep into the day
    There is a sorrow
    Of a girl astray

    She smiles and giggles
    And goes on pretending
    But deep inside
    Her life is ending

    To be the perfect girl
    To have a perfect life
    Is just to much
    Hard work and strife

    After the years
Her mind could not take the strain
    Through her smiles,
She knew she had to end the pain

    Thinking one night
    She finally knew
She could be fake no more
    For her life was untrue

    She ran to the woods
    There she drew the knife
    That in a flash
    Would end her life

    As the sun flittered down
    And the children played
    Nobody would find
    The girl who decayed
