We know we are wrong
we drink
------------but as our senses fade we pray you will stop us
we take our own lives
------------------desperate
perhaps you will miss us
------------------------or better, save us
-------and show us the love we starve for
we hurt you
------------but each blow is a question
-----------------------------------will you hate us?
we plead that you won’t
we plead for you to understand
------and still love us
in the night we cry
------------------curse our scarred
------------------------------------and calloused hearts
We know our sins
------------------our faults
but they have become a part of us
we cannot part with our darkness if there is no one to shine the light
We are told we are wrong
------------to change our ways
but who has told us how?
who will pull us out of our lost
--------------------------and miserable state?
who cares
------------really cares
about our lost generation?
------------------------does anyone?
or are we alone?

- I really like this poem, Elsendor. ^^ It's really deep, without being pretentious at all. Love it! 5/5
