• If I Weren't Me
    If I weren't me, If I weren't me
    A dragon is what I would be.
    I could leap, I could fly, I could soar
    You'd be so scared if I could roar.
    I might burn forests, tree by tree
    If a dragon I could be.
    I would be scaly as a fish
    If I could have my single wish.
    I could be as giant as snowcapped mountains
    I could drink entire fountains!
    I would be in myth and lore;
    I might be famous, down to the core.
    Yes! Surely a dragon I would be
    If I simply didn't have to be me.
    I could breathe fire, all day all night;
    It would be tough to beat me in a fight.
    Not like any dragon would ever be mean,
    But they are built like a fighting machine.
    A dragon I am not, nor will I ever be;
    But that's what I'd be if I weren't me.
    With a wingspan fair and long
    And vocals strong to sing a song
    Of how I'd be full of dragon flair
    Eating a number of maidens fair.
    Not that I'm evil or anything;
    It's just their heads make good dragon bling!
    So by and by, through and through
    A dragon is what I would do
    If a creature I had to be
    That wasn't me, that wasn't me.
