A child born with an umbilical noose,
At the mercy of his mother’s intent,
Destined to become a vacant recluse,
Oft knew movement as an impediment.
Purple masque of death manifest thro’ut life
His lively father saw no relation.
He endeavored to sever noose with knife,
But naught evoked its disintegration.
Though mas’chistic mother sought her own grave
Calloused child trailed behind, rope ever ‘tached.
Now as six feet of slack he could not save
Anchors him to the womb from which he’d hatched
Yesterday seems, as if by dreams, consumed;
Tomorrow is thus, by sorrows, entombed.
