• Within the darkness I felt no pain
The curse of apathy was it's name.
How heartless I became in such little time
And that curse would chime and chime.
With little hope of it ever stopping
My chance at recovery was swiftly dropping.
To be so uncaring should be a crime
And still that curse would chime and chime.
Chime and chime and chime away
    Never ceasing to this day.
It commands me with an acid tongue
Trying to turn me against my number one.
To my heart it's barred and caged
It laughs at its dying age.
I fight this war with all my might
Hoping to remove it from my sight
And still it goes and chimes away
    Never ceasing to this day.
Even if the coast is clear
I always know it's always here.
