Open your arms
Close your eyes.
When times get dark,
Look up at the sky.

Take in the sunshine,
The rain and the wind.
Never ever hide,
Or you surely won't win.

Take the good with the bad,
The bad with the worse,
Because it WILL get better,
Of that I am sure.

When the best just gets better,
Be happy and glad.
When the worst just gets harder,
Try not to be sad.

Look up at the heavens,
Not down at the ground.
Share happy and contentness,
Don't pass hatred all around.

I liked it. The end seems to drop off however, like the thought of the poem wasn't completely finished; there was no sense of closure. In the fourth stanza, the first line seems like a set-up for parallelism: I would have liked the third line to say something like "When the hard gets harder" or "When the bad gets badder". Overall, I give you a 4.5 out of 5, which rounds up to a five. Good job.

I like this. I just wrote a poem about how much pain goes into such few words. I hated it. And then I read this. I loved it.
