• Looking in the mirror she sees what I see,
Disappiontments, broken promises, how many times she's screwed up.
Looking in the mirror she doesn't see what's important,
She's funny, fun to be around, loyal, talented, truely loved by those closest to her, and last but never least...
    She's beautiful!

She looks in the mirror and says,
I'm gross! Why would ANYONE talk or even look at me?
They can't REALLY care about me, it MUST be fake!
I'm too short, I wear glasses, I have a horrible voice, and I'm UGLY!
    She lowers her self-esteem.
She convinces herself it's all true.
Then she falls to the floor crying,
Digging into her skin with anything sharp she can find.
Only doing it because she hates herself for false reasons.

    Looking over at her,
Everyone can see the pain she puts herself through.
They reassure her they're there til the end.
She believes for a little while
And then she starts up again.

Looking in the mirror she sees what I see,
Disappiontments, broken promises, how many times she's screwed up.
Looking at her, I see how wonderful she is.
I see her talents in writing, drawing, and singing,
I know she's funny, can make me laugh any time!
I've experienced how fun she is,
I've noticed her loyalty, won't take anyone for granted!
I see the way her friends would do anything for her,
And we all see her beauty, inside and out!
