• Heart racing I swoop in low to a nearby branch
Settling down would be nice but every noise could be my last
The wind ruffling through my wings, calling nostalgically for me to embrace it
A keen eye for those around me and restlessness radiates from my fragile body
Waiting for sleep to take me away from a hard day of scavenging
The world passing by without a notice to the fact that I’m here
But who cares what they can’t see
    Instead it’s what I see
    Creatures walking instead of flying
Soon too much thinking erodes away my attention to my surroundings
I take off into the air as free as the mind
I catch a draft and I’m away from the only place that can be both supportive and destructive
