The balloons float effortlessly through the overly used air we breathe,
just like the memories I once shared with a special friend.
That special friend is you,
smiling down upon me,
letting my heart spring happily free and into your tender hands,
as if you are a child grasping a firefly.
I remember the cloudless days and the stary nights we held hands under,
the trees we sat beneath,
and the paths we ran across just for the thrill and excitment.
Oh those were the days...but I'm afraid that the only thing I can't remember is the "I love you's."
I can't remember them because they never happened.
So now I will sit here all alone,
and think while the sadness rains from my eyes and drains my body completely.
I can almost hear the stillness,
it's silence is unbelievably way too loud.
Soon I won't be able to remember a thing.
