A crumpled figure in the grass
cries tears in the shade
remorse, regret, pain, love
shatter with them on a single blade
As the young daughter whisper-weeps,
sounds of all grow faint
silence like a panther creeps,
to shield from darkness's taint
Her fingers touch each sprout of grass
though she sits tamely still
She senses every minute pass
within is felt a thrill
Each gust of wind is felt and seen
every leaf assured
her hair blowing in between
her beating heart still pure
The clouds are distant yet ever clear,
the sky so strangely blue
every sound she seemed to suddenly hear
every second rushing through
The tears like crystal hang so gentle
On a single blade

- Quite a good one, I don't know if the reference to self-harming was intended or not but I think it makes the poem a lot darker and really gives the girl character. For it's thrilling ambiguity I'll give it 5/5 smile

- Beautiful. It puts an image in my mind.
