Scars on her wrists, bruises cover her face
Her tears fall at night, but during the day they leave no trace
How can you stand here and lie?
How can you say you're fine?
Now we're crossing a thin line
between in-denial, and having to say goodbye
So put down the razor,
stop covering up the cuts
Put the make up down, darling
it will never conceal the pain enough
Don't tell me you're honestly happy
With the way your life is going
They see a smile spread across your face
but only I see the true frown showing.
Promise me you'll never leave my side
and I promise I'll get you through tonight
But words can only help someone so much
before they finally say "enough is enough."

- I REALLY loved this one! I read the poem before I read your description and I think you did a wonderful job of if. You really put feeling into. And as a person who has had hard times too, I think you would be a great friend to have. Beautiful moving words.
