• Sun rises, new dawn.
Yet another day to be a government pawn.
I keep thinking about where I came from.
The math never works, I can never get this sum.
Yet I don the blue, and walk out the door.
Contemplating my dissatisfaction, and how I want more.
The world here is the same, day in and day out.
"Good order and Discipline" are things they keep preaching about.
Yet they treat us like dogs, unjust and unfair.
Work us to death and pretend that they care.
"We've all had to do it." they'll stand firm and say.
Yet nobody sees the price our bodies pay.
We slowly break down, first the lungs, then the heart.
By the time we're mid-aged we're falling apart.
So broken we are, that our own ethics wane.
So abused that we slowly go insane.
    Yet try as we might,
The machine continues to shine its light.
Wearing down our bodies like an old alkaline.
Does nobody see that this is asinine?
We toil, we ache, we sweat and we bleed.
Yet no one listens, or cares to pay heed.
So when we collapse, our bodies torn asunder.
Will anyone pause? Will they even wonder?
