Someone is calling me
From some distant land
Over the mountains,
Through deserts of sand.
Soaring through the forest,
A whisper on the wind.
Through amber waves of grain,
An ocean's tide coming in.
Rolling hills of a valley,
Jungles teeming with life,
The wild heart of a safari,
A swamp creature's strife.
Someone kept calling me
Voice soft as a stream.
Overflowing the heavens
Calling out like a dream.
I tried to look for it,
This voice on the wind.
I traveled far and wide,
Searched til no end...
It happened some years later,
When the voice called again.
I felt a twinge in my heart,
The voice had come from within...
- Title: The Voice
- Artist: xMalonex
- Description: I was bored one day when something hit me. Kind of like a tug on my heart. I don't really know how to explain it, but for some reason I had to write about the voice that courses through everything. The water, earth, sky, even ourselves. Telling us to cherish life as it is and to also look forward to new things. I hope you will like this poem as I loved creating it.

- This poem has a whimsical quality I kind of like it. I checked out your poetry profile for more but you didn't have none. I also see you made the same mistake as me by voting on your own poem. That negatively impacts your score they should warn you about that or disable voting on your own stuff.
