Beep...Beep...Beep...Nikki's eyes fluttered open slowly. He was laying in a hospital room. Alone. A nurse walked in. She gasped, overly-exited. "Why hello there Mr. Fabretti!" Nikki looked at her, confused a second. "whaa?" He said weakly. "Torrin?" She said softly. "That's your NAME dear." Nikki looked at her wide-eyed, then suddenly he understood. It was an alias, his father probably had a fake I.D. and everything. Nikki supposed he should've been grateful. He remembered Vince. "umm...have they caught that guy who shot me yet?" He asked slowly, having a little trouble forming words. The nurse frowned. "afraid not, not yet anyway, they need a description from you later sweety, right now, you should rest."

(Wow...a nice person got into this journal?? woah...0.o)
Nikki scowled. "Your parents should be here soon." The nurse said kindly, noticing his expression. Nikki blinked. Parents? Suddenly the door of the room swung open, a relatively young couple bounced in. The man had jet black hair and black eyes, while the woman had red eyes and red hair. The woman gasped "Oh Torrin!! we were so WORRIED about you!!!" Nikki looked at them, surprised. The woman dashed across the room, wrapping Nikki in an embrace. "Torrin, don't you remember us?" The man said, he had a calm voice. What did Nikki expect? His own father to care enough to waltz in and tell him he was glad he was okay? Nikki looked down at the starchy sheets. "what's the date?" He asked, suddenly remembering Fatale's birthday had been coming up. The woman thought a moment, "it's the...13th i believe, of september." September??? Nikki's eyes widened. It was APRIL when he'd been shot. Five months??? He'd missed Fatale's birthday.

(Nikki's "parents" wink
The nurse later told him what had happened. The police managed to get Nikki to the hospital before he died, and, by some miracle they managed to save him. She said he'd be here another month before they'd let him leave. Nikki's heart fell, alone with a nice nurse who doesn't know my real name and fake hired parents...fun. Nikki has never gotten over a certain fear of hospitals. Ever since that day, being in a hospital makes Nikki feel the same empty feeling, the same knot in his throat, and the same hollowness in the pit of his stomache that he felt that day, when he was all alone, and no one cared that he was alive.
