Nikki walked down the streets, his hands shoved deep down his pockets. He was in a rather pensieve mood, considering that his mother was indeed alive and Giovanni had lied when he told Nikki that she'd died saving his sorry a** when he'd been kidnapped at the age of three. Nikki was now 16. He was still thinking over that odd occurance.

I bet that never even happened. Nikki thought bitterly.
A group nearby chattered about some singer named Noire. Nikki took a vague interest as he tried to ignore his headache. He couldn't hold it for long though. Nikki had actually heard of Noire before, he'd seen her picture, she was vaguely familiar and Nikki couldn't figure out why.
Nikki wasn't watching where he was going, the sky opened up and it started to pour rain down on him. Nikki barely noticed.
After some time, Nikki didn't really know how long, he'd lost track of time, Nikki found himself in an abandoned alley. Nikki looked around, depressed and alone. Nikki waited for what felt like hours, but Nikki was sure was really only minutes. He wasn't sure what...or who he was waiting for. Finally, Nikki sisghed and turned to leave the alleyway.
Lightning flashed as a figure lit up looking back at Nikki, a gun raised, level with his head. The man had sandy blonde hair and lazy brown eyes. Nikki's eyebrows furrowed angrily.
(Marc. Woop ******** doo.)
"What do you want?"
Marc walked up to Nikki, smiling sadistically. "Nikki Valentine, it's been awhile. Look at you, so grown up." Marc said, pinching Nikki on the cheek, a little harder than necessary. Nikki scowled.
"Still working alongside the family b*****d huh?" Nikki Valentine asked boredly.
"Vince? Well, of course."
"Why?"
"Because he'd make a horrible Don, and the Valentine family would fall..." Marc raised his hand and snapped his fingers "like that."
Nikki grinned sarcastically, "I guess I'll take that as a compliement that you'd rather him be Don than me."
Marc faced him. "Don't be so jaded Nikki..."
Marc swung the gun at Nikki's face, Nikki caught the gun and looked intently into Marc's eyes. He twisted Marc's arm around, taking the gun as Marc's grip loosened for a second. "I don't think i was." Nikki said, pointing the gun at Marc, cocking it lightly.
Nikki shot at Marc and hit him in the shoulder, he'd been aiming for his heart. Nikki didn't usually miss, but he'd never used this gun before, it appeared to be custom made.
Marc faltered a moment and charged at Nikki.
Nikki raised the gun and pulled the trigger, but there was no ammo left. Nikki frantically pulled it in disbelief. The idiot only had one shot!?
Nikki was bashed against a wall, his head cracking back against it, Nikki's vision began to fail as he watched Marc try to make an escape but pass out from bloodloss or shock, not more than ten feet away. Nikki saw a girl round the corner slowly, cry out, and run towards him, her blonde hair flowing behind her. Then Nikki blacked out as well, blood trickling down his temple.
