"Listen carefully for it shall not be repeated, nor reminders given. The Moon princess shall bear the children of the Shadow prince on the eve when the heavens are stained with blood proceeding the night when the ghosly wolf moon will linger long into the morn. The One long expected will be born willingly, the mother unaware of the importance of her child. Should she be told, one of them will die; both shall die should the sire be told. The One shall follow a hidden course, in the shadow of the other. Watch carefully and don't forget. Should the final prophecy be forgotten, the One will come when tension turns to bloodshed. For this is the final prophecy till the cycle begins anew...beware of writing it down for the sire will come across it...Havoc shall reign, the end will come swiftly...the cycle broken for all eternity...don't let it be forgotten, it shan't be retold for the darkness is coming for me........."

The words faded on the young girl's lips, her eyes wide and unseeing, the light in them slowly going out. Her rigid body became limp, the color drained from her face. The last of the long line of phrophets was dead.

Her words left everyone stunned and confused; parts of the prophecy made no sense to those present, and the dire warnings put everyone on edge. What did all this mean? How could the only prophet alive be dead before continuing the line? What would they do without a phrophet to guide them? But there were no answers to these questions.

The body of the five-year old phrophetess was taken outside and laid on a white sheet, the ashes of her ancestors poured over her small body as custom dictated. Within a blink of an eye her body collapsed and turned to ash. Those holding the ceremonial urns went to gather up the old ashes and the new to keep in the temple as traditional. But a mighty wind gusted through the city and scattered all the ashes to the far corners of the earth. The strange turn of events only increased the uneasiness in the air.
