Why is the end of the world such a scary idea? stressed Is it because everything we know and love will disappear and be replaced with piles of crap we once owned. domokun Then we would have to Harvest moon style put it all back together so our children could understand the value of all that work was for. We could tell them stories of a vast kingdom connected by wires and how people could be a fairy one day and a dragoon the next. The vacant looks our offspring will give us, would be the cue for us to destroy it all over again. That means the end of the world just like the reset button, is a device that molds us into a better people. mrgreen

Well that being the end we all survive, if for example earth was swallowed by a previously undiscovered space whale. Our world would tumble slowly down its gapping toothless maw smashing continents and sloshing ocean about. Tiny collective screams would barely cut the thinning air and the only thing left to ponder would be something random like.
"I forgot to charge my cell phone", "did I shower?", "how many levels of Bleach DS I can beat before I" and "Ummm Crap" while holding a can of tuna fish.
