The long forgotten lore of my life
When I feel like it I'll update with my thoughts, views, nonsensical ramblings or events. Just another look into my chaotic enough life. I never know what's going to happen.
Of snow and threading needles
Thursday, February 21:

The white death has come upon this wacky land known as Ohio. All day it did nothing but snow, pour down freezing rain from the broiling heavens (up to four inches in some areas).... Quite a nasty affair of things. Dad was even late getting home. By TWO HOURS. Yeah. Ohio residents of the roads are painfully, almost ungodly slow in how they handle everything. Most of the roads were gridlocked. Schools, even, were letting out at one in the afternoon. Of course, I still had to open the store up and work, just like I'll have to close tomorrow. Maybe. Unless my manager calls me about seven in the morning to do an opening shift instead of closing.

Besides that... Oh, what can I put down? Life hasn't been all that amazing lately. I'm still waiting on my one thing from Ebay, the cashier's check I sent the guy, to arrive. No news. Then again, we DID have a holiday, and mailing shall be pretty slow for a while (especially with the white powdery stuff of DOOM falling on everyone's heads). I did manage to finish reading my JtHM book. God, didn't realize how long that would take to read all seven volumes in that comic series (Note: all the volumes are packed in one giant book). Then again, I haven't had much time to read, let alone sit down and draw.

I suddenly have the urge to draw Psycho and Mr. Eff from the comics, now. God, I need a new hobby.

Oh! Speaking of that! My new hobby, quite so, yes! I have decided to take a crack at it and design my own clothing. I admit, the designs are a bit eccentric, a tad Gothic, but I finally am doing something I've wanted to do for ages. I had to sit down with my mom, though.

"So...You're letting me do this?"

"Sure thing, honey. I'm happy you're wanting to sew!"

"...You do realize my designs are Gothic. Meaning... I know you don't care for the style much, but I may become a little Goth."

"You'll never truly be Gothic, right?"

Mom has this weird thing, in her imagining, of what "Gothic" is, and she can't see me ever becoming what she thinks. She doesn't hate Gothic people, she just thinks that I shouldn't fall down the path with my "happy go-lucky", almost hippy personality. Frankly, my friends know how strange I am. The fact she's letting me go through with this, however, is mind blowing. I know, for a fact, a year ago she would have pretty much loathed the very idea after looking at my designs.

Anyway, I digress. I made two designs already. One's more of a simple design, the other is advanced and clearly for Halloween. The first one actually takes a regular black hoodie. I've already hacked the sleeves into a shredded design, and I'll be sewing on the green (with black stripes) sleeves into the inner parts. I have to add trim, and add the Ankh on the back of the hoodie (in a sadistic, bright acid green that reminds me of my one art project of the biohazard painted raccoon skull I did). Overall it'll look more "punk" then Gothic. Hopefully this will work, too.

Shopping around for the clothes was EXTREMELY fun. I went to a second-hand store (yes, I washed everything before hand, and made sure it was in wonderful condition. Half the clothes I got still had the original tags on it!), and I had a blast going through the aisles. The cashier, the African American female, gaped at me in absolute horror when I cheerfully chirped, after she had commented on a fish net shirt (with original tags, priced for sixty dollars! I got it for 3.50) I had picked up, "Oh, that's alright. I won't fit. Thing is, I'm cutting it up anyway."

"You're cutting it up?!"

"Yeah. I have an idea what to use it for. That's what all these clothes are for."

"Oh, my god! These poor clothes! You're cutting them up?! How could you!"

Well, come on, lady. Aren't you happy you're selling them in the first place, making your earn for the day? Seesh! Make ME seem like a bad person for wanting to experiment in my new artistic, creative imagination!

I may fail at this. Who knows! I tried making a Prinny plushie from scratch, and that was a total EPIC failure. I actually felt horrible. The real ones cost over twenty bucks- I thought I could save a little. Guess I was wrong.

Anyway, so I have that to do tomorrow. Like I said, the hoodie outfit is almost done. I just need to print out the Ankh (symbol for "life" wink pattern tonight. I also need to buy new gloves to go with it. I already have the boots, but I need black pants.

The other outfit, for Halloween... well, that's for another day!

heart Peace out, ya'll! heart

Yeah, the lady just goggled at me. There was this one item I couldn't buy (no price tag), and she gasped, saying (rather loudly might I add), "Ooooh, I'm so happy I saved that piece of clothing from your clutches!". I just turned away, and mom saw me glowering slightly, rolling my eyes in disgust at how childish she was being. It was amusing, yes, but she was carrying on in front of customers and everything. Seesh, she was insane!

It's... well... not doing anything now. For the moment. Might snow later on today.

LOL! I'd love to design clothing, but one of my friends will always be five hundred times better than me. She's an expert. Well, I may still go as Xigbar. If I get this outfit done beforehand, before Halloween, that is, then I may go in the Halloween outfit I'm creating some other time. It'll look strange. I mean, heck, it's got this surreal Gothic design. Looks like I'm some sort of...well... I can't really explain it.
