The long forgotten lore of my life
When I feel like it I'll update with my thoughts, views, nonsensical ramblings or events. Just another look into my chaotic enough life. I never know what's going to happen.
Exuberant happiness to the brim of insanity
Saturday and Sunday, March 15 through 16:

I'm just ecstatic these days with the rare events of happiness that have been blessed upon me and my family! This entry is going to cover two days in one; consider it two for the price of reading one!

Yesterday sure was a weird day... Frankly, it started off fine- quite normal for any other day. I woke up- blearily, sure- but I went into work and opened up. That’s where the normal day ended.

Oh, I can’t say it was bad, but it wasn’t great either. My cashiers were driving me up the wall, I had to deal with people asking me where items were (only to have me point directly behind them for them to see the toilet paper, or tissue, or motor oil they were looking for), or random stuff falling off the shelves and beaning me on the head. I opened the store to find the back storage room completely trashed from the night before- and left in that state- and it took me over an hour to clean that (wasn’t even my job, or fault!). Also, I had a few jerks who had to return items throughout the day, and since I’m a manager I have to deal with the technical aspects of it. They weren’t the friendly kind; one gentleman even snapped at my cashier and I, trying to put us down and quipping, after seeing my elderly cashier couldn’t pick something up, "what are they paying you here for anyway"? He even snapped at me, upon me asking his name and phone number so we can later check up and verify the return he was making, said, "what the hell do you want to know? I'm not giving my damn name out to anyone- I don't want you people calling me. Put down George W. Bush for all I care"!

I wanted to just slug the crass, pessimistic man, but I couldn’t (not only would I be sued, most likely, but he had his five year old son standing right next to him. God, I felt sorry for that kid, having to put up with a bestial man like that with a superfluous egotistical hubris!!). My cashier was crushed because of him, and I hate seeing anyone I care about hurt in any way, shape, or form.

To top it all off, I had a rolltainer (a metal cage with wheels that holds stock that we put out; these suckers are heavy, and can weigh over 50 lbs, or more, when fully loaded. I have to move these around the stores and deal with them) nearly crush my hand today when I was pulling it out of the storage room. It slid over, catching me off guard a bit. The result was this: I was pinned against a cart, the rolltainer smashing my hand against the metal bar of the cart and another rolltainer. Yeah. Sucker hurt like crazy for a while after that. Thank god this happened somewhat in the confines of the back storage room- I sorta yelled in surprise, screaming, "GOD DANG IT!!! WHAT THE HECK IS THIS FOR?! What did I do to deserve this?!", pretty loudly. Yeahhh...

I got home later, after my shift was over, and found dad hunched over, cutting into a box that was sent to me. Straight from Amazon, my Squee! (Jhonen Vasquez's comic book, the complete collection of all the Squee chronicles) arrived just as they promised. I cracked into it a little bit before bed time. I just scanned the pages briefly- I intend to read it fully today- and I caught glimpses of a teacher that looks like Ms. Bitters (the cranky teacher from Invader Zim), Nny (aka Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, from his other comic, JtHM- I have that one as well), and Jhonen's comic version of himself. Also, poor Fillerbunny looks like he gets abused. Again.

Anyway... On to today! I told dad that, if he picked a movie in the theaters, that I'd treat him to a viewing. Well, last night he chose- National Treasure 2. EXTREMELY excited for this one; my family adored the first one, and we can't wait to see what the sequel is like. Now, I have heard that it's "just not as good" as the original, and that it's long winded at times, but who cares? I don't mind- let's give it a try! Plus, I got to see dad as excited as a kid again. That, to me, is worth everything.

Well, most likely a review of that movie later on. I've rambled enough for one entry I suppose. Ta-ta for now! Back to watching Anime.

heart Peace out, ya'll! heart

P.S: On another note... I SO knew Gaia was going to release Wonderland items (me being the biggest Lewis Carroll/Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass freak around)!! Darn it! Way to expensive... Oh well, I'll wait until it goes down.

So you liked it? I'll take your word for it! As long as Riley is still as funny as he is, I think I'm going to love it no matter what. Yeah, that's the thing with those movies- they're entertaining AND they teach you something, which is pretty cool!! biggrin
