The long forgotten lore of my life
When I feel like it I'll update with my thoughts, views, nonsensical ramblings or events. Just another look into my chaotic enough life. I never know what's going to happen.
Picking through the (plastic Easter) grass...
Sunday, March 24:

My sister lives a good two and a half hours away. It's basically an all day thing when we go over there. Still, I love doing it- I wish we went more often!

We left at about 10 in the morning. I shoved in the CDs Jen made me, listening to them over and over until my insanity (from looking at the constantly passing pastures with their meat cows mooing balefully- if not idiotically- at the passing metal contraptions) was nearing it's climax. I think I fell asleep somewhere after listening to UNDO on it's third or fourth time going around. Yeah, I love going to her place, but I hate the ride.

After we got there, the time seemed to just fly right on by. Everyone was plesantly shocked at how I looked. Once again, just like Teen Night, I dressed Gothic. My sister and her family is extremely religious, so I wanted to see how they'd react. That can be sorta bad if you don't plan it out good or brace yourself for the reactions. However, they all loved it.

We (my mom, sister and I) sat around in Kalan's room, talking about old times and random stories to reminiscence on old time's sake. He, Kalan, didn't arrive until about 5. I had drawn him a dragon for a birthday gift, and had brought down other goodies to feed his astoundingly creative imagination skills. He's fantastic when it comes to the random mediums of art! At 5 Barb was supposed to pick him up, so she took me in the PT cruiser. On the way back, however, she made me drive. Let me tell you- there is a BIG difference driving a PT compared to a van, especially driving the rural roads. I love doing it, though- a really, really cool experience!! Plus, there's nothing like driving the country roads, in a blood red PT, whilst talking about Metal Gear Solid to your nephew. Yeah. Kickarse.

Angela had her boy, Laden, with her. By the time we got back they had already done the egg hunt and skidaddled, so Barb and I couldn't witness- let alone have everyone else in the family- partake in the "great egg hunt". We were a little ticked they couldn't wait, but what can you do? Nothing much, I suppose. So, instead, she laid out the "prizes" that would have been given out the people who found the most eggs. Movies, and decks of cards, alright! I got to choose, and I got excited when I saw Dracula. Now, yeah, I know, I have a vampire fetish or something. Everything I watch has either violence, fantasy, or vampires. This one, though, is one of the older movies and has Gary Oldman in it, and I've always wanted to see his role in that movie. I hear it's great. So, instead of picking Neverending Story (Oh, dear god no!!), or Hamlet (Dear merciful god, I actually saw that very same movie in English!), I chose that.

Kalan, upon finding out that I am a player of SSB:M, he challenged me to a one-on-one. Of course, first few rounds I smoked him. He was fantastic as Sheik, but my aerial dodging and techniques using Falco did him in in the end. Like I said, he's great- he's been playing for ages against hardcore people, and he claims he hasn't really been beaten. After that, he hooked up the good old Xbox, gave me a run down lesson on Halo 2, and kicked in it for a two player online match, with us on the blue team. I got used to it after a while, but it's still hard when you've never played the game, the game system, or, let alone, hold the game controller ever in your life. They have 3 Xboxs (due to a discount Walter gets at his Walmart- he gets a huge chunk off of the ending price, so he gets them whenever they're on sale so he can keep them on hand for Halo Parties). They also do the same with the games, so they have about three or four Halo games. You can get where I'm going with this.

Right now I'm staring at an Xbox, sitting in my living room, with Halo 2 in it. They're letting me borrow it, and dad- in his fervor to play some game with guns involved- is putting it up on the bigger screened tv in the living room (it's not HUGE, but it's a heck of a lot bigger than the kitchen, or my tv, combined; it's more of an average sized television). He's got that to do tonight, so I won't be surprised if I get home and the thing's set up, and he's bombing away- or the one GETTING bombed. He's not too good with videogames. He likes to believe he is, but in reality he isn't. Course, he has done some things on games I could never do, so I suppose that's all fair.

We left about 7, getting home about 9:40 or something. On the way back I actually watched Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa on the portable DVD player dad has. I haven't been able to watch it the past days, because just when I settle down to do it, someone comes up with something or something happens and it tears me away from viewing it. I have to say, wow. That's one heck of a send off to the series! I have to say I enjoyed it immensely, and I loved seeing familiar faces- alive faces on the other side, and the dead who have come back in the same form, different personalities, on the other side- and seeing the different styles of the two worlds colliding. Only scene I felt a twinge overdone was the fight between Gluttony (dear god, he's still ALIVE), and Wrath. It was amazing, sure, the fight scene, but at times it just felt like they had it in there for the gross out factor. The fight had a reason for being there, it truly did. Only other thing I have to say with that movie is blood- tons and tons of blood, gushing down, and that made me giggle quite a bit.

So, Easter is wonderful! I loved it. Everything went right. I can't wait to see my sister again. She was discussing with me, as I drove her and Kalan back to her house, that I could live with her and go to her college. I've already checked the college out- it's a snag of a lifetime. Imagine this: The small classes of a privet school, the education offered to the quality of UC or some other bigwig place like that, a setting in a peaceful, extremely safe countryside, professors that treat you like an equal, not a number... and the big one- ready for this? Only a little over a hundred dollars for each credit hour/quarter. Thing is, if I go to that college... I'll have to move in with her, leaving me two, or more, hours away from mom, dad, and everyone else. I'm afraid to do that... They DO have a Dollar General out there (actually, TWO) that I can transfer over to and keep my manager position most likely. I just... don't know. I don't want to leave everyone...

heart Peace out, ya'll! heart

Don't worry I've never played an XBox either.

I got Super Smash Bros. Brawl for Easter! So next Teen Night I'll give back you Melee since I can get more trainin' in with Brawl

Holy cow, girlie! Lucky!! I still don't have a Wii, nor Brawl, so I'll be the n00b at Teen Night I'm afraid, lol. Halo, on the other hand... I'm getting used to it. I keep making my character an female Elite (a strange looking alien), bright purple armor with acidic green highlights and my emblem is a wolf. Heck yeah, I'm eccentric as heck on that game. xd
