The long forgotten lore of my life
When I feel like it I'll update with my thoughts, views, nonsensical ramblings or events. Just another look into my chaotic enough life. I never know what's going to happen.
Darude Sandstorm, Teen Night raving style
Friday, April 18:

I love Teen Night. I really, really do. There's something about it where I know that I can safely be myself without people thinking I'm just straight out crazy. Oh, who am I kidding? I'm insane and I know it.

Started off hanging out with Jen, the artist, for a couple of hours at the mall. Man, that was a blast! See, she's doing a report on Hot Topic, and I was with her, trying to help out as much as I could (and being insane at the same time). At least, today, I fit in. Normally I'm wearing tye-dye when I enter that place. I actually had on my Gothic chain/strap pants, a JtHM shirt, my collar and fingerless gloves. There were some really nice Gothic people in there that day, and they totally loved the idea Jen was having fun looking around. I never knew Hot Topic sold Nightwish CDs. I'm surprised, really; thought hardly anyone knew of them. After all, Finnish bands aren't common to be listened over here in America. Or...at least that's what I originally thought.

I managed to buy a stuffed animal there. Anyone hear of the bear Gloomy? Yeah. Totally wicked looking thing. It's adorable with the blood dribbling from it's mouth. AND IT'S PINK. A horrid pink. I absolutely love it.

We stopped to snag something to eat in the food court before heading on over to Teen Night. When I was in line for subway (which, gosh darn it! They didn't have Tuna, so I went to Gold Star instead), I saw a boy and a girl, around my age or a bit old, in front of me. I saw the man's messenger carrying bag had Alucard from Hellsing and I thought, "wow, cool! Hellsing fan! Too bad I can't comment on it; he'll most likely think I'm nuts". I then went to look back up at the menu, but noticed the girl was wearing a rainbow belt. Once again, I thought to myself, "well... that's interesting. Not a lot of people wear that...sorta reminds me of my one friend..."

I slowly look up, glancing at the face of the female. "Oh my god, HAKO?!"

Yeah. I hadn't seen her in ages. It was fantastic just to meet up again. God, I miss her and everyone else.

We ended up at Teen Night a little bit late, but I didn't care- I was having fun for the first time in a few days (*cough*thankstomyjob*cough*). I gotta say I look forward to Teen Night so much these days. It's the only place where I know I can see more one of my friends at once.

Of course, right away, I crack into my Yugioh deck and dueled for a bit. One loss, one win right away isn't that bad for me. Normally I suck straight out. My Harpie deck and Beast deck as been completely rerouted in areas, and it's actually more of an aggro (aggressive) consisted deck then for plain out defensive purposes. Currently I'm making a Gladiator Beast themed deck. Only problem? Half of these beasts' names I can't even PRONOUNCE. I mean, come on! Laquari (tiger)? Secutor (lizard)? Oh man, I'm going to be in serious trouble. I mean, I'm going to end up doing something like this, I just know it: "Okay, Michael, I summon....this thingie... in face up attack position"! or "Okay, I use this... bull.. monster... to attack you head on"!

I'll get used to it. They're just GREEK names... quite literally. Every monster is named after some Greek name. "Spartacus" made me laugh. He's a raging dinosaur. But of course "Darius" is a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL card (a purple horse with a black mane and tail. Orange armor, and a single lock chain whip for a weapon).

Showed Lynx what I had of my book. Three nights before Teen Night my ruddy printer decided to up and die on me ink wise. I swear... my book is over 200 pages- how is it going to survive printing every last page out? Clueless. Anyway, he for sure liked the one character he helped name; glad he approves!

Brawl kicked my butt. Again. However, it's surprising that I'm getting better with Falco- despite me not owning the game OR even owning a Wii for that matter. Still, the only reason I was killing myself as Falco when fighting Lynx, I found out (just like he did) is they made Falco's dash attack longer, so I ended up flying off the stage Final Destination (which is the only stage that is my DOWNFALL. I can't fight correctly on that stage because my techniques, though flighty, could be classified as "aerial/defensive hit and evasion" moves, what I specialize in). Oh well. Someday I'll own my own copy, and then I can go to the Shadow Moses level anytime I want and make Snake do his secret Codec calling "taunts". Oh. Yeah. And Metal Rex is horribly ugly in Brawl (what did they do to him? Oh, come on, make him shoot us or something on that dang level! Something besides stomping around in the background like an old Godzilla hoping around Tokyo city like a big playground. Yeah. I just went there and made a reference. If you can name the song, you win a free cookie!).

At one point in the evening, Jen (Another Wandering Artist), Jen (Seraph), Emma and I managed to obtain a boombox. This we fought to be quite a delightful turn of events. Automatically I put in one of my CDs Jen (Seraph) had burned me. We jammed to Marlyin Manson's version of "This is Halloween", attempted to sing E Nomine's "Mitternacht", and had fun with other songs ("The River", "Everytime we Touch", "Song for Ten"- that one was funny. It's a Dr. Who song; no one knew it but me). The one song that we had fun with? Well, it's in this journal entry's title!

Darude Sandstorm.

Once we played that, we, as Jen (artist) said, were reliving the "great rave of Prom". The DJ was fantastic at Prom. He actually did play Sandstorm, and my group of friends and I had a blast hopping around, comically banging our heads and generally acting like great big goofballs. I loved that night...

Anyway, we were bouncing around to Sandstorm. It was actually funny to see our small motley crew jamming to raving techno (a goth, a normal person, an Anime lover, and another soon to be goth). People actually started coming over, asking about what the name of the song was, or even chiming in to dance a little bit.

Everyone LOVES Sandstorm! How could you not know it?? It's the epitome of rave songs! It's techno! There's no singing in it! What's not to love?

Anyway, that was Teen Night. Nothing went wrong. I loved it, as usual! God, now I'm wishing for the next one. However... I just remembered, I may not be able to go to it. My manager has inventory week the same time Teen Night lands into town again. She told everyone we "can't plan anything, because we'll be pretty much be living at the store". She's going to try to get me off the evening, but she's not sure.

Great. Oh well. What can you do, right? Right. Oh...and one more thing:

DING DING DING! We have a winnnner! Near, you got it! xd Ultimate Showdown it is! And a cookie or.... something... shall be comin' you're way! Hopefully! You did get a Wii! Lucky!! Getting used to the Wii-mote? Yeah, I heard there are a few taunts to each character. I've seen Wolf's taunts, but none of the other various ones from the other characters. Curious, who do you battle with? I use Falco (not Captain Falcon).

Yeah, Jen... crying I may not be able to go!! There's a chance she'll let me off that night. Still.... *sobs a bit* I don't want to miss one! I almost can't go thanks to my age! August comes around, and poof! I'll be 20, and I can't go technically! Yesh, Gloomy totally had to be in this entry. He's right now sitting in front of my television in my room, so he literally stares at me when I sleep. Creepily brilliant if I do say so myself. 3nodding Glad you had fun!! You should come more often! I'll bring my CDs again, next time (if I get to go, that is). Growing up REALLY sucks... I don't want to be 20!!! gonk

XD.Yeah,I usually battle with either Snake,Wolf,Lucario,or Meta Knight.I am getting used to the Wii-mote,too.Well,the prize was EXACTLY what L would love. And I also love it! biggrin Strawberry's pwn.Yeah, there is one codec taunt for each character, and if you die in the middle of the conversation, whoever you are talking to(Otacon,Colonel,or Mei Ling) will go "SNAKE...SNAKE...SNAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!!!!!!!"I recently did the taunt with Samus and Snake is trying to....hit on her... O_o.

OMG!! Gloomy looks freaky! xd xd the blood matches his skin (fur?) Yu-gi-oh is hard to play gonk my cousin collects those cards and he tried to teach me how to play. Apparently I had all the strong cards in the deck, but because I played the cute ones instead I got thrashed xp He kept trying to teach me, but I couldn't understand anything. "Is this monster or magic?", "What's this do?", "How many facedown cards at a time, "what?" xd He gave up. Your writing a book?? 200 pages?? How could you stand that? gonk All that waiting and thinking and thinking and...waiting! *Twitch* hhmmm...never heard of Sandstorm 3nodding I got to go looki it up on youtube or something. Gloomy is going to haunt me, I can just tell! xd

So you're a Snake and Lucario type of person? I tried Lucario. Normally I suck with anyone resembling Mewtwo's moves, but, Lucario I was actually pwning people with, which scared the heck outta me. LOL! Glad you liked the Prize! Eat up. xd Oh man, I'd give anything to hear Otacon's cracky voice screaming "SNAAAAAAAAAAAAKE" right in the middle of gameplay. LOL! He was trying to hit on her?! That's it, I'm onto Youtube and checkin' this out!!

You know, to me, Gloomy is adorable. Then again, that's just how twisted I am. Heck, I mean even right now I'm sculpting a JtHM Doughboy to sit on my shelves and scare people with it's glowing red eyes and manic grin. Yeah. Mr. Eff rocks. Gloomy's kauuute to me. I showed it to mom and, at first, she winced, but not she just nervously laughs and admits that it is a bit unique and adorable in a creepy way. Yugioh is pretty hard once in a while. Yeah, there aren't many cute cards that are actually good to play (exception is the Nimble Momonga, the flying squirrel, I use in my beast deck; gives me 1000 health points when killed AND searches out another of it's very same kind for a grand total of 3000 health added). I could possibly give you tips if you still want to play. Like I said, I have two decks (Harpie, Beast deck) and one in the making (Gladiator Beast).

Yup, I'm writing a book. Over 200 pages, on chapter 24. It has to be split up into two books so, well, I'm not just writing one these days. To me? I can stand it. My mind is constantly churning. I have a notepad I keep with me so when on break at work I can rush back and jot anything down. My mind's constantly frothing with plot twists, etc; last night on break I decided Raymen, a character of mine, shall meet his demise in quite a sad fashion, making his only best friend suffer a bit but, in the end, grow strong from the loss. Darude Sandstorm is FANTASTIC! Look it up! You'll love it! If you can't find videos on it, I can for ya.

Oh...and one other thing..........

Noooo, silly. He's, uh, holding happy children! Yes, yes that's it. Happy children who just loooove Gloomy. ninja No dead bodies here.

...Well. Okay. They may be dead bodies. BUT AIN'T IT ADORABLE??? xd

Oh, for the book... it'll be three years come this December 19th, I believe. Long time, eh? Well, the book is in war with titles. The first one, Demon Apocalypse, seemed to banal. I wanted to spice it up, so I'm rerouting the whole title all over the place.

commentCommented on: Thu Apr 24, 2008 @ 02:06am
Yes, what could be more adorable then a pink teddy bear with blood oozing out of it's mouth and dead children hanging off his arms? xd Three years??? Why does it take so long? I'm going to read it! At least I'll try if I can remember it in three long, terrible, boring, long, years xp I hate waiting gonk

What can be cuter than that? Mr. Eff, even if he's screaming or ranting. Big time. He's TEN times cuter than Gloomy ever could be, AND he's a manically ghoulish painted Doughboy-- what more could you love? Yeahhh...

Anyway, yup, three years just about. It's taken WAY to long for me to finish this sucker, but because of my conflicting schedules, I'm not able to really spend a whole lot of time, at once, just sitting down and writing up chapter after chapter. It takes so long because every little thing must be planned and sorted out, plot wise, to make it linear. I have to think everything through. I mean, heck, a few nights ago I had to sit down and take a look at who all is dying. I decided to kill Raymen, a character of mine. I then had to plot how where he'd die, when he'd die in the book, by what demon... etc. THEN I had to plot out how the characters would react, how this would change the book's mood and flow... It takes a lot, actually, to make a book. I'd love for all my friends to read it! That is, if they can take gruesome death scenes. Oh, you won't have to wait three more years-- it's almost done. It's just taken me three years, so far, to get what I have written.

Yes, I shall remember that when they send me to therapy for saying how cute dead things are xp

Three years is so long gonk How long did it take to actually think up the book, and how'd you do it? Did it just suddenly pop in your head that "oh, this would make a good book. I think I shall go write it." Or was it like, "I could combine this and change that and add this and get rid of that and..." and so forth? Death scene is my middle name xd well, not really. That'd be creepy if it WAS a middle name. Your going to kill off a main character? That's either good in a bad way, or bad in a good way. Like in the Artemis Fowl series when they killed Julius. I seriousley didn't think the writer had it in him xp It was bad, but good at the same time gonk But it's ok 3nodding knowing him, he'll probably bring him back in the next book blaugh
