It makes me so sick to think about how gay rights
are treated in this country sometimes. If you sleep
with someone of the same gender, automatically you
are less respected in your community and denied
the rights and privileges you would have recieved,
if only you weren't a "sexual deviant".
Regardless of what a person thinks is right religously,
their relgious beliefs have no place in determining
our nation's laws when regarding matters that cause
no harm to any other human being, but infact bring
happiness and joy and love to many.
And quite frankly, I don't think my God hates the gays
any more than He hates jews, muslims, murderers,
theives, liars, adulterers, as well as everyone else
that doens't belive in Him and His Son. I don't believe
that my God hates gays anymore that any other
sinner or heretic. God said "Love the sinner, hate the sin."
He didn't say "OMG, ur so gay! LOL I gotta smite you."
I've just finished my second essay on gay rights this year.
I only wish I could write these things in first person, and
really inject my personal feelings.
