When you drop a plate it breaks. Super glue usually fixes it right? Yup. When your pants rip you can sew it back together, tada.
But there is usually a trace left back from that brokeness. You see the cracks in the plate, the thread on the pants. There is always a visual something left behind.
But with a broken heart you can't see it. It isn't very visible unless you intimately know the person who is broken. From personal experience, you can become broken, then you mend. But there something left behind, not physically visible. But emotionally there. Things people say or do can hint at that scar.
