I am going through a very bad phase right now. A phase of unusual and irritating sleep habits. I don't sleep AT ALL one night, then sleep REALLY LATE the following night/day. We're talking me getting out of bed at 5pm. This issue needs to be addressed immediately, since I start classes again on Tuesday. According to the pattern, Monday night is the one where I won't sleep. Which will impair my concentration worse than getting up ten to twenty minutes before I leave, which is the usual habit. The time between getting up and leaving is of course normally dominated by showering and getting dressed. But enough of that.
Y'know it's funny, I always heard that going without sleep was something you learn at university, but if it always makes you that dizzy and fazed out during the evening then I'm not sure I want to master it at all.

Anyways, I've had no classes this week. Why? 'Independent Research' I was given a 1000-word essay to write, analyzing a short film/TV clip of my choice. It's to be handed in on Thursday. I've been given just over two weeks. I just chose my clip this morning. I'm in trouble. Don't get me wrong, it's not as if I can't write 1000 words about the clip, it's just that they want MORE. I have to quote textbooks for cryin' out loud. I think I have some quotes in my lecture notes, but they won't be enough. That's what this week off was for, and indeed, what the set reading was for these last five weeks. But I'm a lazy douche, so I've done very little of the set reading, and I spent this week watching Family Guy, Red Vs Blue and Fullmetal Alchemist among other things. Whoops.
Therefore my advice to you all is this: If you're given something to do, and some time off to do it, FOR GOD'S SAKE, DO IT THEN!!!

Laziness helps no-one in the long run. Even Kohta Hirano has to pull his finger out and get a volume of Hellsing published every now and then instead of watching Power Rangers and jerking himself off.
