• Runo: Water... Earth... Fire... Air... 90 years have passed since my great-grandfather, Avatar Aang had brought balance to this world. Since then, the world has been in peace. Sadly he died one night, and the next avatar had been reincarnated into the next sickle in the nations, The Water Tribes. Many people where exited to meet him, but the really big question was, and still is. How will the Avatar be able to learn all four elements if all the airbender are gone?


    Nina: Seferi, wake up!
    Ming: Five more minutes.
    Nina moves her hand to waterbend the water in the vase, and pours it on Ming's head.
    Ming jumps up, looks up at her step mother.
    Ming: Why can't I sleep in just once in my life? Nobody alts in this town has to.
    Nina: You have a lot of training to do. If you ever want to become a water bending master.
    Ming: What am I? The avatar?
    Nina leaves the room as Ming gets dressed and come outside. The sun hasn't even come up.
    Ming: Can't I eat first?
    Nina: Only after you beat me.
    Ming yawns and gets into position to fight.

    Mean while at the Norther Air Temple...

    Man: Rules are rules, who ever stands in Zongs' way will be punished.
    Runo: How could you? You! My best friend!
    The Water Tribe girl behind him closes her eyes and tires start running down her face.
    The girl: You killed my sister!
    Man: I was just following orders,
    The girl gets angry as her eyes open and start glowing. She bends the water with great power and starts running towards the man.
    Runo stand watching, shocked and surprised.
    Runo: The avatar..
    He looks over at the man, and realises whats about to happen. He turns around and stands in her way.
    The girls doesn't stop. She bends the water and washes him out of her way.
    Runo jumps to his feet, as the water freezes and icicles start flying towards him.
    Runo: No!

    Runo wakes up in his bed as the sun shins on his pillow. Sweat runs down his face. He looks out the window with his eyes half opened. A lemur runs into the room and jumps up on the bed. Reno smiles as he pets his head.
    Runo: It was just a dream buddy, it was just a dream.
    Runo gets out of bed and gets dressed. Then, he goes down stairs and finds his mother making breakfast.
    Runo: Good morning mom.
    Quei: Good morning Hun, did you sleep well?
    Runo looks down at his feet, and bits his lip.
    She frowns and looks at the cooking soup.
    Quei: Was it the dream again?
    Runo doesn't say a word, just stands there. Then he looks up and watches the baby lemurs play out side.
    Runo: If only dad was here.
    Quei drops the spoon on the floor, and runs to him. She raps her hands around him.
    Quei: He will always be with us. No matter what happens.
    She gently lets go and huts her arms on his shoulder.
    Quei: Now about this dream of yours.
    Runo: I really think she is going to find out before time.
    Quei: You'll have to go find her, and don't worry about me. I can handle things here.
    Runo: Are you sure? I mean, I know I have to do this, but who's going to help you?
    Quei: Oh, your cursed can help around. Don't you worry.
    Runo and his mother turn their heads, as Zhang walks into the room.
    Zhang: Leaving so soon?
    Runo: We'll see, you going to behave?
    Zhang smiles as he sit down to eat.
    Zhang: I will as soon as you leave.
    Quei give him "the look". Zhang's smile disappears on his face. She turns around and goes to pore the soup into bowls.
    Quei: Sit down and eat.

    Back at the Southern water tribe...

    Nina blocks Ming's wave by making the water evaporate. Ming jumps on the ice wall of the bridge and stands there. Then sees that Nina is about to wash her off the hedge. Ming smiles and back flips off the ice. Nina runs to the hedge, and looks down off the bridge. The water was moving but not splashes where made. Then turns around to find Ming standing on the other side of the bridge. Ming bends the water and makes another big wave heading straining for Nina. Nina knows whats coming and gets washed off the bridge. Ming stands there felling vicarious. But then suddenly the ice bridge melts, and Ming hits the water with a splash.
    Nina: Alright, I guess today's lesson is done.
    Nina smiles and looks at the horizon where the sun is coming up.
    Ming waterbends them both out of the water, and looks at Nina.
    Ming: Can I eat now?
    Nina: Not until you fix the bridge.
    Ming looks at her with tired eyes.
    Ming: I hate this.
    Nina: Come now... your 15! You can handle it.
    Nina walks away as Ming stats working on the bridge. First on one said, then the other, support on the bottom.
    Ming: Hmm... I wonder whats for breakfast.
    Ming looks around, and starts walking towards the house.
    Nina: Don't forget to test out the bridge before you go!!
    Ming sighs, and goes back to the bridge..
    Mai: Good morning!
    Ming jumps 4 feet off the ground.
    Ming: Stop that! You almost gave me a heart attack!
    Mai: Don't worry, your not that old. What I meant to say was Happy Birthday!
    Ming: Oh, thanks.
    Mai runs to her, and hugs her. Then pushes her on to the bridge.
    Ming falls on her knees.
    Ming: Don't worry, I make it nice and strong this time.
    Mai smiles.
    Mai: We'll see about that.
    Mai bends the water from the creak, and makes a huge block of ice.
    Ming: Don't.. you.. dare..
    Mai doesn't say a word, just drops the block of ice about one inch away from Ming's nose.
    Ming sighs, but then hears ice cracking.
    Ming: I hate you.
    She falls into the water along with bridge. Then looks up at her sister almost like shes saying "You better run", and she did.
    Ming got out of the water, then looked down. Then started working on the bridge again. After she was done she went inside.
    Nina: Did you finish the bridge?
    Ming: Yes.
    Mai: Should I go test it out again?
    Ming looks at her with angry eyes.
    Ming: No!
    Mai: I think I'll go check just in case.
    Ming tries to catch her as she runs out the door, but never does. Nina looks out the window and sees dark clouds coming closer.
    Nina: You better go get things ready. There is a storm coming.

    Mean while...

    Runo: Don't worry mom, I'll be fine.
    Quei stud in the door way waving to Runo as he was walking away.
    Quei: I packed you warm cloths, it's a bit chilly at the North pole.
    Runo: Mom, don't worry, I know what I'm doing. Would you just let me do this on my own?
    Zhang: You don't worry either Runo, even though your 18, you'll always be you mother's little boy.
    Runo just laughed, and waved back as he started walking farther and farther away. His smile soon disappeared on his face as he realized.
    Runo: What am I doing? I can't,can I? I must, it's for their protection.
    Runo took out his glider, hit it on the ground once, and started flying down the mountain.
    Runo: I'm such a liar, my own mother doesn't even know I'm an airbender.
