• I sat and watched her as she gathered the courage to ask her crush out. I watched, seeing what he would say. her eyes sparkeled with hope, but other than that her face was exspresionless. She did every thing she could for him to notice her. Sitting by him durring class, always a table away at lunch.

Then he gave her his answer. No. Stunned, it took a while for it to sink in. She lost the sparkle in her eyes; and they started to tear up, Her face turning red. She turned on her heal and started walking towards me. Then the first tear fell. Soo another, then another came until her face was streaked with her tears.

As tears started to come to my eyes too, I wondered how the guy who use to be my best friend, could break her heart just like that. Reaching up with her free hand, she wiped her face. She sat next to me, and I wrapped her in a hug and softly said, "Don't cry over him. If he doesn't want you that's his loss." As he sat and watched us, I felt a part of me wish he felt guilty. He got up and walked towards us, telling her, "I do like you, but I don't want a girlfriend that is friends with her." he said as he pointed at me. The bell rang, and he said he would find out her answer after school, then he walked away.

"Be with him, I know how long you have liked him. I won't stop you from getting the guy of you dreams." I said as tears started to streak my face. Looking confused, she looked down, then stood up and ran to her class. I sat there crying for a few minutes before I slowly trudged to class.

At the end of the day, I wait were I usualy do under the shade of the oak trees for the bus to come. As she walkes out of the school, she looks around before spotting me in the shade. She beams a smile my way as she walks toward me. Her Crush follows her. She sees my staring over her shoulder and turns only to see his chest. "So do you have an answer?" he ask calmly. Nodding her head she looks toward me then back up at him. I see her give him a light smile, and he wrapps his arms around her. He looks toward me, and I notice her smile dissapears.

He walks toward me, and says to were only she and I can hear, "Can't you see, she wants me more." Balling my hands into fist, I swing at him and hear a solid thud as my knuckles connect with his jaw. "You b***h!" he yells and talks back to were he stands. "Can't you get it through your head that she will always want me more?" A scowl crossing her face as he tries to wrap her in his arms, she takes her hand back and slaps him as hard as she can. Wiggling out of his grasp, she walks toward me, a triumfant smile in her eyes.

As he recovers, He yells, "What? After all that, you still choose to be friends with her.? Well fine! Be like that. I never really liked you any way!" Her face turnning red, she turns around, her voice low and scary and says, "No, you be like that. If you don't like my friends, then you can go to hell. Now get your ugly face away from here."

She turns around to see me stare at her, shocked. She runs up and hugs me, telling me she would rather have a good friend than a crappy boyfriend. Returning the hug, I knew we would always be there for each other.
